DealLurker, according to the ECS support page, the latest BIOS release for K7S5A V1.X will even support Athlon Thoroughbred which hasn't come out yet. As far as I know, people have no problem running XP with this board and Fry's used to sell combos of XP with this board. Just make sure you have the latest BIOS, then you are all set.

Deal over ? My guess is that it will resurface in a couple of weeks - hopefully with a 1000 mhz Morgan core Duron.

What a bummer! When I looked at it last night, it was $89. Now, when I am ready to order today, it is $119. $30 jump overnight!

I called to see if I could convince them to honor yesterday's price, but they would not. And don't have them in stock anyway.

Hmm... Glad I got one at $89. My total was $96.xx. Immediately sold the CPU on eBay for $60 plus $4 gain on shipping. That made the board approximately $36 ($96-$64+$4 for eBay+PayPal fees).

Good deal!
