Thats actually a popular tat. Ive also seen them on the inner lip. Most people are trying to tie in their identy with the consumerism of nature of this world. Its like a cry against it. At least thats what one girl told me. I was quite drunk at the time and so was she so I dont recall anymore of her little speach.

i have several friends who tattoo and have worked counter at a few shops... so ive seen pretty much all of em

best by far was a guy who came in... who apperantly got RIPPED one night and went to a shysty tattoo shop... who agreed to tattoo him, even though it was apparant he was beyond drunk.

they put FUKC spelld correctly one one side of his neck in the worst scratch letters ive seen, prob did it w/ their non dominatnt hand, and @SSHOLE on the other side, w/ the A like an anarchy letter... prob about 2-3" high...

sucked for him... nothing to cover those things up w/

I think that tattoos should have a personal meaning, whether they are seen or not is irrelevant. If you're getting one for other people to see, I urge you to reconsider.

That's a sweet tattoo...

Hey now, I have one of those but it isn't finished yet.

This will be going above it along with some other stuff.

Also have the Angel of Death on my forearm, a winged lion on my stomach, a pheonix on my back, and a jungle/tiger scene on my left shoulder.

The only ones that look stupid to me are logos, asian characters on a white boy, and cartoon characters.

i know a guy that got drunk and got a tatoo. he woke up to find a picture of a banana, half peeled, with a huge smile on its face doing some kind of dance. Its actually really funny, and he loves it now.

Its on his arse btw

A woman I know, who is a single mom and also the hottest woman I know :D and I know a LOT of women... has a few tattoos.

The bad one:
In large black block script (like 1.5" letters) on her lower back is printed the name of her child (the kid is now about 10 years old). Last thing that any man interested in her wants to see if getting intimate. :disgust:

The okay ones:
1. Barbed wire around her bicep/tricep. :)
2. One around her shouldblade, can't recall the pattern.

Can't exactly wear a formal evening gown with those tattoos. :(

Cheers,

Oh, and for the record, any tattoo on your back is stupid IMO. Why in the hell would you want a tattoo you can't even see without using a mirror?!

I think the tattoo on the lower part of my wife's back is awesome. At least it gives me something to look at when I...ahem...I...well, you know where I'm going with this.
Target practice!!! :D
Good one.

BTW CPA, :camera:'s? :beer::D:beer:

There are a couple in the "pics of your wife" thread. None of the tattoo, though. Maybe will put that up tonight.

The arms of chaos are on my chest only the skull is on the back of my neck. There's a circle of fire in the middle of the arms that REALLY needs to be retouched.

I saw a kid a few weeks ago with the Nintendo Logo on his neck. Red background with black letters, about 4 inches long and 1.5 high. Talk about stupid. "Grandpa, what is that on your neck?"

I'm really fascinated by oriental culture. I've studied tae kwon do for several years (2nd degree black belt at 19yrs old - explains my nick). I'd like to get the Kanji symbol for life as a tattoo someday. Due to some recent events in my life, it would mean a lot to me. I'd never considered that it may be looked down on by other people. Good to know.

You wouldnt be classified as a poser though because you have some affinity with the oriental culture.
Go for it. :)

If it's done in taste and for the right reason, i see no problem with it.

my ex-gf got my name tattood on her back after we broke up. Freaked me out and I didnt even wanna be friends with her after that.

I plan to get a tattoo of my grandmother's name after she dies (knock on wood, hopefully she lives for 100 more years) That woman has treated me like her own son and this is one way to always remember her. When I have kids, I'm considering a tattoo of their names as well.

I saw a guy with a nike swoosh on his arm. I assume it was to cover something else, maybe not though.

Another one was of 2pac, on a guys arm. Really awful, but it had "2pac" above it, so you could tell what it was.

A semi-frequent customer at the pizza shop has a swastika on his forehead, f e a r on the knuckles of one hand, h a t e on the knuckles of the other hand, and a bunch of other crap. He'd be scary if I thought he had more intelligence than a 4 year old... but he seems pretty stupid, so I feel bad for him to go through life fvcked up like that.

He's probably in his mid 20's, and always comes in with his parent - the two of them are as hick-farm stereotype as you can get.
