So, in social science being able to explain 1/3rd of something with a SINGLE VARIABLE is amazingly good, and DUI can explain about 1/3rd of driving fatalities.
If anyone thinks about it, if we could link 1/3rd of cancer to one thing people do that is shitty.. oh say: exposing others unwonted to second-hand smoke (just a hypothetical)... would it be reasonable to ban such a practice? or do we have to wait for the cancer to kill someone before we can rightfully stop a particular individual from exposing others to such danger?
