dude pushes dumb chick off cliff

I saw the first minute or so, with the girl in tears and gob-smack-scared, and stopped watching. At her state of mind, pushing her off would be cruel, bordering sadistic. If you can't respect your partner's fears, you have no right to be her partner.

🙄

I can't watch the video w/ sound right now, but wouldn't you end up smacking into the cliff on the other side?

And if there's too much slack on the rope, you'd end up just falling down until the rope reaches it max length at which point you'd get a huge jerk/pull breaking your ribs, bruising stomach, etc.

guys, just look at the end of the rope and you can tell it's fake. The anchor point keeps moving. Not only that, but you can see the rope very clearly right up to where it's anchored until he "pushes" her off. Then it completely disappears. Very badly done fake.

Obviously you would end up smacking into the cliff, which is exactly why if you had audio enabled you would know that the girl had his baby but he didn't want it so he had her killed and that's why he keels over laughing.

I don't get what's fake about this. It's a rope swing, she chickened out, he pushed her. More to it than that? 😕

I did a swing like that in Costa Rica. It was FUCKING TERRIFYING! It was in the jungle though and I jumped off a huge psychotic platform.

Crazy shit. I'd need to be pushed too.

If it was real, she must have had so much anxiety and fear built up by the time he actually pushed her.

I still don't get why people think this is fake? Her reactions seem pretty damn natural. If it is faked, she should do some movies because she's a good actor. The behind the scenes video shows how they setup the rope.

I can only imagine how she feels. Horrible b/f. That dude deserved to be kicked to the curb.

I remember watching Cliffhanger. That beginning scene was downright intense and can't imagine what a real life play-out of that would feel like.

To answer 2 of the most common questions that others have answered in other threads:
Q: Did she really break up with him?
A: Yes, but not for the "epic push". They broke up about 2 months later for other reasons.
Q: He was a real jerk for pushing her
A: She knew that she would lose her nerve when she got to the edge of the cliff so they agreed off camera that if she didn't jump of her own volition when she got to the edge that after 10 seconds he would push her.

Whether its true or not, I dunno.

He is an idiot, she easily could have freaked and grabbed him as he was pushing and then she could have pulled him off the cliff.

Doesn't matter what they agreed to, off camera. She made it clear she didn't agree anymore, and he should have respected that.

Whatever reasons they broke up for, good for her. He's not mature enough to be in a relationship.

He could have just held onto her and the safety factor of the rope would have made it fine.

I've seen this happen before and while intense, you'd be surprised how hard someone can hold onto another person when it's that or death.

The guy is a douchebag and an idiot. By jumping you can control the direction you are going he pushed her and she could have hit the side or hit her had by falling back.

The girl is not much smarter than him since it took her 2 months to break up with him after that. If someone doesn't know people have died doing this, ropes do break.

LMAO @ people saying it's fake. There was a post not too long ago (and a link in that video) of the behind the scenes. This is real, there is more to this video than this one part.

Basically a bunch of guys with proper equipment who decided to go do that. I don't know why people call fake on something that is doable.

Pushing her was a bad idea though, mostly for his own safety. Out of instinct she could have grabbed onto him and dragged him down. Would have been best to just let her not go if she was really too scared. It's not for everyone.

I'd love to try that, would be so awesome.

It would have been funny if she latched onto him and dragged him off with her.

He is quite obviously tethered to the rock, he was not going to be pulled off the edge.
