Folks,

We are promoting a port of Linux into the Nintendo DS. We believe it could be one of the coolest Linux ports ever. The Nintedo DS is indeed a very capable hardware, ARM 67mhz, 4Ram, wifi, mic, 10 hours battery life, 2 screen, touch screen, etc, etc, etc ... at $149 dollars.!!! We are very exited with all the cool software we could write or port for this litlle baby (once linux gets going). In my opinion it could be a complete PDA killer! mp3 and movie player, wifi web surfing tool, email reader, Instant messenger , .and so many cool things! find some time and give us a visit at Linux on the Nintendo DS - dslinux.com , sorry mods for the links, I hope you can leave them as the coolness factor of this port is top geeky )

could be very cool if you pull it off but the limited copacity of the cartaridge will hold it back (unless you can build some adapter to take mass usb storage)

Nov 21, $149.99 , but we are already working on it. We have a lot of information on the hardware and it´s never too early to get hacking.

There are already flashcatridges for the gameboyadvance wich we could use on the Nintendo DS. They do come with a USB port.

no...another reason to get the Nintendo DS in addition to the PSP. I mean really why do people always have to buy only one of the two or three major consoles? Why not get them all? Hopefully by this time next year I will have the DS and PSP in addition to the GC, XboX and PS2 I already own.

One of the most clever uses of DS linux will be the use of emulators to run games. The state of the art in Linux game emulation is MAME.

"current version supports 5248 ROM sets, 2946 unique games "

Check out some of the cool games you will play with DSLinux and MAME:

TTT for a cool idea.

I'll get a PSP myself. Going to pre order one very soon when some games that doesn't require too much on Japanese text comes out. It just has the games I want to play on it.

I hope the DS does well and they both compete.

You can play most of the PSP games already on a PS2, and graphics are probably better.

Thats fine but, you can't fit a ps2 in your pocket and play them anywhere you like.

The PSP is great hardware, but we decided to port linux in to the Nintendo DS becasue of lower price, longer battery life, and the touch screen. Still I wish the DS had the cpu power and memory of the PSP. Or the PSP at a lower price, with longer battery life and a touch screen!

I mean that most of the PSP games are just ported versions of PS2 games, and If a new game comes out for PSP you can certanly spect a port for the PS2. Sorry for the confusion, english is not my first lenguaje.
