First off that is a great idea on your friends part OP! I feel that remaining pure for the future wife is essential.

Now for ideas - my friends and I at college have actually discussed a "Tool Party". Everyone brings a Power/Hand tool for the guy to use once he is married. Very manly 🙂 - Plus what kind of husband doesn't want the idea that he can attempt to fix everything 😉 - Need the proper tools to make that happen!

Golf is a great idea as well!!

A "tool" party eh?

I can understand some people not wanting a stripper at their party for various reason, but saying he, "wouldn't enjoy a stripper?" Come on now, what kind of guy is this?

Have alcohol, if he doesn't drink it, then spike his drink. When he finally drunk have a stripper come over. Try to get him to be inapropriate with the stripper. Take pics of him with the stripper and blackmail him.

A TOOL PARTY

Paintball sounds good, so does Dave and Busters (just because the groom doesn't drink doesn't mean NOBODY has to!) Strip club after D&B's (again, the groom doesn't HAVE to go. Most of the single folks will be pissed if they don't get to see at least some titties during this thing!)

I actually wouldn't want a stripper at my bachelor party. Just something that I don't think I would enjoy. No I ain't gay. Just... meh. Who cares?

Alcohol, yes. Lots of it. Alcohol + friends = good time.

A TOOL PARTY

Assuming you guys don't mean anything apart from what I was referring to...

Doesn't this sound like something off of Home Improvement (w/ Tim Allen) - Haha I love being a man!!!!!!!!

Paintball?

Sounds like a Tupperware party might be more up this guy's alley.
Hey! Tupperware is good stuff! 😀

......

But the whole "party" idea strikes me as really stupid, and, well, come on, a party that serves as a venue for sales? Is that really what people want to spend their free time on? A party centered around food storage containers.

Still, I should keep this in mind for when or if I ever have a bachelor "party" of any sort. I don't drink, and a stripper would just seem......a little weird.

The funny thing is as these guys are sitting at home knitting or whatever they end up doing the bride is going to be bar hopping with a giant inflatable penis getting hit on left and right.

The way I see it the point of a bachelor party is for the groom to have one last crazy night before he gets married. Camping, paintball, golf is something you can do with friends anytime. You don't have to do the stripper routine, but maybe a donkey show would do the trick.

Man, I wish I remembered that one study that came out a few months ago..I think it was something like 1/5 women (brides to be) cheat at their bachelorette's party.

Of course, they shouldn't be getting married in the first place, but why set yourself up with that temptation in having a party like this? Anyways, I wouldn't want my theoretical future wife to have a party like that, so I won't either. And I don't drink, so I'm right up there with the guy in the OP. I imagine my bachelor party will be just like any other time I hang out with the guys, except they'll all have to buy me food 😛

I've thrown 2 bachelor parties. Neither involved strippers. Both did have the option to drink, it was not mandatory, and I paid for anyone who wanted to drink. DnB sounds fine. Some other options are a dance club, pool hall with live music, batting cage / drag or track race / bunjee jump type place, or a friendly poker game ($20 buy-in, low ante, limit or pot-limit).

Something is very wrong with men who need sex or simulated-sex from other women the night before they get married, and especially wrong with already-married men throwing the "party".

pfft, might as well invite the bride if you are taking the fun out of the party.

The last bachelor party I was part of did this. The groom was only 19, the bride 21. It was a "mixed" bachelor/bachelorette party. And the grooms parents were there. Ha, it was basically a tame house party. I get way more rowdy every other weekend, but couldn't because a lot of them were either related or friends of the family.

It was a good time, but I didn't even consider it remotely close to a "bachelor" party.
