Hosting to one in a couple of weeks.
Thursday night - arrive at my lakehouse to prepare for the party - pick up keg and test it to make sure the beer isn't poisonous. Can't be serving poison beer.

Friday - golf at 10a. Back to house around 4p. Bus picking us up at 5:30p to head to dogtrack about 30min away. $1 beer night ($1 beer/hotdogs/hamburgers).

Saturday - golf at 11a. Back to house around 5p. Grilling something (haven't decided yet).

As for entertainment...well, that is still up in the air since the groom isn't real keen on it and it can get expensive. If no strippers, it isn't a big deal. The closest strip club is a good 40-45 minutes away and by the time the evening comes around no one is going to be in any shape to drive, and renting a bus for 2 nights is way too expensive.

My brother planned my bachelor party which had similar rules to what you're dealing with. We went canoeing for most of the day and then went back to my parent's house and played poker. We had a great time and I would definitely do it again if given the chance.

Regarding the bride's father; if you're doing anything with your dad involved, you should invite her dad. I wasn't paying attention and didn't invite my father-in-law to poker even though my dad played. I still feel bad about that.

a bachelor party without alcohol? I'm not even friends with any people who don't drink!

I'm one of those that wouldn't care if strippers were involved or not. I would certainly NOT turn it down but the whole look but no touch really sucks.

I'd say you should do a sporting event with tailgating but what fun does your friend usually have?

By definition it cant be a bachelors party.
Maybe more of a seeing him off party?

iono, at this point, the only option left is breaking out a deck of cards, some chips, some pretzles, and some non alcoholic beer?

OP, just a note, i dont like to drink, however at my party i would most definitely have it there for my guest.

Maybe you should ask him if he minds or not. The booze still might be a go.

i dont drink either, and i got plastered at mine. its part of the tradition, i think, to be hung over and swaying at the altar.

Gladiator flicks and sword fights later on FTW!!! Slip some ecstacy into everyone's koolaid when they're not looking to get things going. ;)

All I can come up with is going to a nice dinner place and then Dave & Busters... I'm also planning on attaching a chain to a bowling ball and making him carry it all night, would be more fun if he was drunk though... :)

I imagine we'll have around 10 guys, nothing huge.

go to a sports bar, play pool, order fish and buffalo wings

no booze, no boobies, no fun.

seriously, if he wouldn't like a stripper ... that would make it even all the better if you got him one.

I didn't want strippers at mine either, so we went golfing, then a big dinner afterwards. Those that wanted to get pissed, got pissed, those that didn't, well they didn't.

Everyone had fun and I highly recommend it as an alternative to the typical bachelor party.

at my bro's we went golfing, came back and bbq'ed and drank, strippers came over, then we went to a bar, then came back and played poker.

the only manly thing missing was football, but other than that, it's probably the manliest day you could possibly have.

Now for ideas - my friends and I at college have actually discussed a "Tool Party". Everyone brings a Power/Hand tool for the guy to use once he is married. Very manly :) - Plus what kind of husband doesn't want the idea that he can attempt to fix everything ;) - Need the proper tools to make that happen!

Golf is a great idea as well!!

That sounds like a wedding shower, only there are no chicks..... and no booze....

Ya, that sounds NEATO!

We had a non boobie party once. We went to West Virginia and went white water rafting during the day, and then rented a cabin that night. We did have drinks, but no one got sloppy drunk. It was very cool just chilling around the fire with all our friends after being on the water all day.

My bachelor party only consisted of about 6 people. We went out to the bars for a little while, then got bored and went back to my place and had a little LAN party while we drank more. It was fun.

My bachelor party is happening in two weeks. No strippers, (dated many in college, and know many look nice but are damaged goods.), lots of booze and poker. Maybe even have a cigar or two out on the patio. Sounds like a great time to me.
