Just saw this at my local Albertson's in the Bay Area. Three flavors of Absolut Vodka (Regular, Citron, Mandarin) going for $19.99 + tax each. These are the 1.75 L bottles that usually sell for $30-$35. I already cleaned out the Citron supply two Albertson's in my area. Albertson's card required. Must be 21 or older to purchase, ;p

I wasn't familiar with the card either... but like the rest of the grocery cards, sign up is free.

Yeah, I stocked up on it, so welcome to my pad for the drunken orgies. BYOG (Bring Your Own Girls)

Hrm, well this is imo, but absolut is sorta yechy...
Safeway in the Bay Area has Tanqueray Gin for $15 (750ml), and Tanqueray 10 (750ml) for $22 right now.
BevMo has Stoli (1.75L) for $22 dollars. I tend to think that Stoli is a bit of a better deal for Vodka b/c it tastes much better than Absolut. Just some more deals on alcohol.

Interesting you mentioned a Albertson's card, cuz in AZ, I don't believe any of the Albertson's has a card. There biggest advertising line is that their prices are competitive without cards. I'll have to go check on the Absolut...got an Albie's right around the corner from my house. It's okay Vodka..not the best, and only expensive because of the advertising...but still better than Gordons or Wolfschmitz or Popov!

Good deal. Too bad there's no Albertson's around here.... although for vodka I tend to prefer Ketel One at this price point (my username notwithstanding).

Unfortunately I live in Oregon and they're not allowed to sell hard-a in stores like that. They can only sell beer/wine. We're also only allowed a certain amount of liquor stores and they all close around 7-8pm. Too bad cause I'd have gotten in on this deal. You don't see many hard-a sales here... Usually just a buck or two off.

I was surprised when my Albertsons started using cards. If you look on the signup sheet at the bottom theres a box you can check and then you don't have to fill in any information at all. They put it at the bottom so you don't see it until you fill out the form heh.

I've always been a big proponent of the saying "if you're going to kill a few billion brain cells, you might as well do it with top shelf liquor." Grey Goose all the way. The only thing I like about absolute are their ads :)

Also, there aren't any Albertsons in VA.

A few years back Albertson's bought out the Lucky's food chain in socal, Albey's made a big deal out of eliminating the "Lucky's Club" discont card. They claimed it was a gimmick and an invasion of privacy. Lot of us old timers were not happy.

Looks like we may get it again.

I need to down some Absolute everytime I go to Albertson's, their service is Absolutly terrible, I hate the store.

Don't forget that at ALL Safeways - if you buy 6 things of hard liquor you get 10% off the alcohol.

If you're not near an Albertsons but are near a Polish neighborhood, look for Luksusowa vodka. Excellent quality and you know you're not paying for a massive adverti$ing budget.

Hot: Party Port on University Ave and even Riley's Wines and Liquor (both in Madison WI) carry skyy vodka. 1.75 L, for $21.99 . Constant special (considering my home state of OH charges $35 for one of these ... state set price). On my recent trip to the frozen north, I bought a 6 pk of these.

On a side note: the JD black label stuff is $26 for a .75 L bottle at these stores, which is the same as the OH price.
