I'd say just what Pence said, which others on here described as reasonable. I don't have to agree with someone to respect their right to say it. That first amendment thing, ya know? Fair enough?

Would you also think he had an interesting take on it if he stood up for the actors on stage delivering that harsh, blistering critique of pencey boy?

completely agree, I think the quote is something along the lines of
"I may not like what you have to say, I may not agree with it, but I will defend your right to say it"

Oh ffs, you're an idiot. I have no desire for an authoritarian state and I've said nothing on here that would lead anyone with more that 1 functioning brain cell to think so. I never spoke up for Trump during this election and my posts prove that. But I'm truly delighted that I've put a major burr up your perfumed arse.

Interesting you're basically admitting he's just playing these people. Are you on the playing side or the played?

Let's not pretend you give a shit what leftists have to say. They're just in the way of getting to an authoritarian ethnocentrism america.

Not trying to be a snob, but this is allegedly the story of that quote...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evelyn_Beatrice_Hall

In The Friends of Voltaire, Hall wrote the phrase: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" (which is often misattributed to Voltaire himself) as an illustration of Voltaire's beliefs. Hall's quotation is often cited to describe the principle of freedom of speech.

And yes, this is one of the credos that I try to live by. I admit that I can react strongly to what others may say, but I've no desire to silence anyone.

I'm sorry but when it comes to theaters and Presidents or Vice Presidents, I think he's allowed to request a safe space. It's triggering for anybody in elected office to be honest.

Yea, I kinda thought there was some buggery around that quote, but no matter it's creator, it's still a pretty good way to react to the first amendment.

I would think that any theater hostility is going to be triggering to be honest. The cast of Hamilton should honestly know better.

I'm not sure what the play is about, but there are some pretty amazing parallels between Trump Hillary and Hamilton Burr. I believe Hillary would be within her rights to actually challenge him to a duel.

He wouldn't do it, he doesn't get his tiny, malformed hands dirty.

My hands are 7.75 long from crease to middle finger, which is 65th percentile, but they are somewhat thin and my palms are longer by proportion to my finger, and they hold a full size pistol just fine. I believe larger than average palms at the cost of finger length actually makes gripping a pistol comparatively more difficult. Trumps hands are 7.25 inches long which is 15th percentile, but a full size pistol would still be comfortable. People with hand size well under 7 still shoot comfortably.

He'd do fine in a duel, but again, I think the issue more lies with Hillary's 2nd amendment stance and being opposed to any sort of gun violence, even consensual.

I don't think being a blowhard or wanna be toughguy is the point if we are talking about a pistol duel. Most people on this forum believe that the 2nd amendment is actually the cause of criminality, so putting a gun in his hand is all that's needed.

Trump is as rude as a bag of flaming dog shit. I don't see the Hamilton people doing anything rude.

My guess is that Trump and Pence are not used to hearing words with different numbers other than 4 letters yelled at them.

Funny all these people say things like both sides equally bad and I want liberty but can't be bothered to lift a finger when there's talk of a muslim registry or anytime when it counts. "He didn't really anything he says", LOL.

I used to consider people like that dunning kruger posterkids, but now I know they can often tell the difference between right and wrong.

Imagine that, more hypocrisy. Dixon's old tweets coming out. Calling women ho's and joking about black men taking advantage of drunk white women. And he's taking the high road now? Stay classy, and hypocritical.

Some people here will defend his comments though. The same people who condemn some of Trumps. It'll be funny.
