Yes. The top half is ideal for cookies, pizza, etc. Thinner things, or for warming up stuff. (although, if it fits, it's just fine for the top oven)
The bottom oven is more of a traditional oven, electric heat though, and convection cooking. Stove top is gas (propane) 5 burners.

We never used to use the broiler in our old stove, so there was no point in getting a stove with one. The dual fan is okay; nothing great, but better than nothing. Our kids use them in their bedrooms & seem happy with them. I stole it from my older son's bedroom to exhaust all the dust. (as fine as powdered sugar, if not finer, all floating in the air, and thick as dense fog.

Looking good.

Do those dual-window fans work well? I thought about getting one for my studio apartment to help cool it on the hot days, but settled for a 20" box fan instead to place in the window (probably going to get a second box fan for an adjacent window for dual-box fan power).

Edit:
What's up with the double oven? Just for having two things cook at different temperatures? Never seen that before.

Window fans are great.

Looks awesome! I can't wait to own my own home and take on projects such as this.. Although, that's a big one.. I think I'll start small, like with a bathroom 😉

That's good to know I guess. If I had a smaller window that wouldn't fit a box fan, I'd have probably gone for it. The box fan was cheaper though 🙂.

That's the key - some people prefer to rent, but by owning a house, I can take on any project that pleases me on a whim. Next, I have to do some work in the dining room to blend it into the kitchen a little better; different shade of paint, and a couple years ago I went with some cheap wood-look flooring. The stuff is great, but I've just never been satisfied with the finished look. So that's coming out & heading into the office to replace the vinyl floor in there, and will be replaced with 3/4 inch oak or something. After that, the wide side of the garage is getting turned into a home theater. My wife keeps saying "it'll be a sitting room" "it'll be a living room" "it'll be a family room" ... It's going to be MY room 😛 Complete with a wet bar, big screen (projection), a couple of really confortable theater seats, and maybe I'll stick the foosball table in there. Oh, and the collection of beer posters & some deer heads & other mounted critters.

I just stick the box fans in the window. Works great.

No way. I don't want you guys traumatizing my goats. 😛

But, actually, I was thinking of organizing an AT meet this summer.

I am wondering how you get to the basement since you removed the stairs.

Dug a hole in the yard, putting in a set of stairs & door from the outside. We have the hole in the wall & just a rough hole dug so far, and it's been 10x more convenient for getting into the basement. I hated the old stairs; the bottom rung actually broke when I stepped on it once (thankfully it was the bottom.) But, I was always nervous carrying 100 pounds of salt on those stairs to put in the water softener - that's the only reason I go to the basement, and the new stairs are right next to the softener.

Looks awesome Pizza ... Are you going to put crown molding on to hide that gap on the new wall extension / roof?

About how many hours do you think you put into this (rough estimate)?

Not a clue. I'll go a few days without doing a thing, putter around on other days, and then there are the days when I get down to business & work until 2 in the morning. Some things take less time than I planned; other things take far longer. Last upper cabinet took me about 2 minutes to install. Microwave that I expected to stick 5 screws into the wall, hang, then put last 3 screws in through the cabinet - GE's dimensions were wrong; I had to cut the tile on the wall & ultimately wound up just cutting out a big hole where the microwave is, re-sheetrocking behind the microwave, then installing it. 5 minute job turned into a 2 hour job to fix the wall, then 5 minutes to install it (if that.)

Yes. Plus I have to do around the window, both doors, one piece of molding on the side of the cabinet next to the stove (just temporarily stuck in a couple pieces of waste; I forgot about that side when I was purchasing the wood); I have to stain & polyurethane 2 sheets of 1/4" oak plywood so I can put it on the ends of the cabinets above the sink, next to one of the doors on the upper & lower, and on the end pantry (which is about a foot from the wall, so that piece is more than half a sheet of plywood alone), plus cut it for the toe kicks.

Grout & floor is next though.

Looking very good, starting to work on my own kitchen. I tore a cabinet down the other day and then cut a hole in the soffit above the cabinets only to find hidden duct work and drain lines. Looks like I'll be rebuilding the soffit 🙁

Re: the drain lines. Are they the drain lines from an upstairs toilet/sink/shower? Or is it the vent line coming from the kitchen sink? If it's a vent, and if allowable by your local code (there are a few localities that don't allow them), you could use a mechanical vent under the sink. Very inexpensive and easy to install (especially compared to the cost of all those other fittings to run a vent to the outside)

Looks great! Very impressive - been following this since the early pics. What a comfortable kitchen to work in.

I especially like the chicken.

Great job so far! Was it you or your wife who picked the appliances? How did you choose? I'm looking to buy some soon, and I'll admit that I'm overwhelmed by the choices. Other than Comsumer Reports, there doesn't seem to be a place to go for this sort of thing on the net.🙁
