Dropkick Murphys Yay or Nay?

All their early stuff was really great. I haven't really liked much of what they put out since Blackout. Especially that stupid shipping up to boston song. In my opinion they went down hill after Spicy left to get married. With that said, The Gang's All Here and Sing Loud, Sing Proud are easily two of my favorite albums of all time. They have been around since like 96.

I saw them about 9 times in concert and I have to say they are outstanding live. I was actually at the "Live on St. Patrick's Day" show at the Avalon up in Boston when they recorded that live album.

Let's go Murphy's!

EDIT: Oh and here is significantly better songs...

Good Rats
Spicy McHaggis Jig
Barroom Heroes
Devil's Brigade
Forever
and my favorite:
Caps and Bottles

"face down in the gutter won't admit defeat tho' his clothes are soiled and black... he's a big strong man with a child's mind don't take his booze away!"

Oh god that stuff sucks. This is what kids listen to these days?

Kids? DKM has been around since '96.

They made a few good ones like the few you mentioned, but the rest...you have to be really drunk! When is the last time they made anything new?

I like them - my first year of college, I saw them in Chicago at the House of Blues - that was awesome. Unfortunately, now when they come to Chicago, they go play in the shittiest of venues - the Congress Theatre; it's a big venue, great for more popular groups, but the sound system is terrible. What's the point of seeing a show when the speakers suck?

I like them. Saw them in concert in St. Paul this summer.

EDIT: Saw Flogging Molly last year and they were maybe a little better, but I liked them both.
