I can't drive in anything other than hard shoes. I tried flip-flops once and they were horrendous as far as driving goes.

I once tried to pee while driving, like, into a bottle, because I was trying to break my time record of driving from college to home. It didn't go so well.

Are you in Vegas posting about peeing in a bottle?

I was sent here by myself :( and I'm depressed about losing $240 so I decided to take the night off, especially after walking around til 2 am l ast night. I did order room service and it arrived on a fancy rolling table. Ohhhh.

snap, sorry I brought it up....

Haha nah it's kinda funny. I thought I'd be walking out with some cash after I got that little blackjack card and memorized all the plays you are supposed to make then I got owned like a little girl. Oh well.

My clutch feels great with thin-soled shoes, so I guess I would enjoy it. I wouldn't do it though.

I only drive barefoot when I am wearing my Birkenstock's. I feel that that it is to easy to have the sole get hung up on the pedals so I the right one off when I get on the car. If I am driving longer than usual when I am wearing Birk's then I will take both off. However if I am wearing shoes I never take them off while driving.

i used to drive my VW barefoot as much as possible. It was easier to shift for some reason.

It depends on the car. On one car it's a stick, and I can't feel pedals very well when I'm wearing sandals, so I drive barefoot unless I'm wearing tennis shoes. In the other car I usually just keep my shoes on either way.

If it's > 50F outside, I'm wearing my sandals.

I do it when i'm wearing flip flops. I'm afraid the flip flops will get caught between the brakes and the gas pedal so I drive barefoot. My gf swears by driving barefoot and says it gives her a better feel for the car and the road. All I feel is the vibrations from the engine when i step on the gas.

I can and have before, but as baloo said, it's illegal in many states...so be careful.

I'll take off my shoes and just wear my socks on long drives when I'm driving mostly with cruise control.

I have contemplated trying this, but figured the consequences of failure probably weren't worth it.

Did this on a 3hr drive home in a snowstorm that I didn't want to get off the highway in. Also, did not go so well.

Did it for the first time on Saturday. I was up a mountain doing a snowshoe race and afterwards my feet were completely soaked from the snow, so I cranked the heat on my feet and drove home barefoot. It was pretty damn comfortable I must say; would do again!

I used to drive barefooted when i was learning to drive, it helped me getting a better feel of the accelerator and brake.
