I've seen a few "new" ones driving around. I just can't bring myself to call it exotic.

i just can't justify the price tag. the engine isn't all that fantastic, and the body certainly isn't either.
sure it revs high, and has a lightweight mid engine RWD chassis, but for $90k? c'mon...![]()
i can see this car more at $40-60k, which at that price, i'll unfortunately still won't be able to afford one.

Porsche also uses a flat 6, not a v6. Cars like the 911 also have the motor over the rear axle, not before it. That completely changes the dynamics of those cars.

completley agreed. Everytime I see one, I just think of all the Corvettes that will beat it.

A Corvette beating a NSX?
You gotta be out of your freaking mind or you are joking.
A tricked out vette by any one of those companies keeping its price to that of the NSX the corvette will smoke it like a fat doobie!Originally posted by: MC

Hell man they could steal an engine from a 350z and give it more torque!Originally posted by: KGB
Honda should make a i6 for the NSX. It would definitely give more hp/torque

Who said anything about tricking out the Corvette? A stock Z06 will beat an NSX on the drag strip and around a road course. Truthfully, a base Corvette might also.Originally posted by: Skoorb

NSXs are under-powered piece of pretty dog-crap. 😛 I'm going to buy a fiero, give it upgraded tires and suspension and a ferrari enzo kit and call it a sports car.

B/C flat 6's are cooler than V6's 🙂
Seriously though, the Porsche 911's Flat-6's put out between 320 and 381 naturally aspirated. Then you have the 420HP+ turbo versions.

I3,I4,I5,I6 = Cylinders are all inline
V6,V8,V10,V12 = Cylinders are arranged in a V shape (V8 = two I4's combined @ 90* to each other).
Flat 4,6,8 = Cylinders are all opposed. A Flat 6 is basically a 180* V6.
That's just the naming convention and how the cylinders are arranged. To actually find out what makes each one better than any other read this:
