On a serious note, it's hard to feel sympathy for committing something so mind-boggling stupid.

I have no sympathy for the women. I do for the children in the vehicle. I just can't imagine doing something so frickin stupid and having my children die.

accidents happen. but this was stupidity.

This is scary. On the way in to work this morning, some dumbass (most likely elderly, the car was an Olds Delta 88 or other GM rebadge) was stopped in the right lane of the Lowell Connector (there's a gravel shoulder). To make it worse, he was about 50ft from an on-ramp. If the lanes weren't clear, I would've creamed that car merging on.

I want to know what a sewage-carrying semi looks like. I've only seen them in single-unit trucks around here.

Had something similar happen with a cop. There was no accident, it was apparently a routine traffic ticket. So of course, instead of going onto the shoulder, he stopped in the right lane and took his sweet time in issuing the ticket. This was on a fairly busy street, by the way.

After seeing 18 wheelers doing 85mph in driving rain on a crowded interstate 85 in Charlotte, and nearly being run over by another truck that didn't bother to check his side before switching lanes (Thank god the lane to the left of me was open and I had room to swerv .. same section of road actually - Charlotte ****** sucks), I'd have to say that regardless of how ****** stupid this lady was, there is no doubt in my mind that the actions and speed of the truck driver need to be thoroughly investigated.

I get SO ****** SICK of truck drivers whining about "but those people in cars need to know we take longer to stop" and then deliberately TAILGATING.

We shouldn't have as many truckers anyway. Too bad we didn't build up the rail infrastructure more and continue using it.

I live in charlotte too. Yeah, the highway sucks, but here's something I never get; why does almost everyone drive under the speed limit? On a good, sunny day with little traffic, most drivers are still going 5-10mph under the limit, which is a little frustrating for me at times.. I don't speed, I just go the speed limit as long as it's safe and I'm not in danger of tailgating anyone.
