C'mon I'm not a NASCAR fan since they stopped racing real cars, but Sh!t atleast I can bring a fact to the table and not the general consensus of what a few kids think :)

I think it looks *kind* of boring on tv. But like most things its probably much better in real life and WHEN you are doing it. I can definately see myself having loads of fun if I ever got the chance to do it. Like most things as well theres a technique to it.

I want to do it!! :)

<< Of coz i've done drag....there's just no fun in it...no driver skillz at all...just engine work and stripped cars. >>

Of course, your statement explains why these cars can cost 400,000 bucks.

If you think it takes no skill to control a 6,000 HP engine with front wheels an inch wide, then you should pull your extremely tiny head out of your ass and actually go to a track.

My first car when I was 16 (14 years ago) was 1966 Mustang. My brother drove a 80 something Chevette. Yes Chevette. He put a new cam in it, put some headers on it, added a nitrous kit. We would go down to the track in Hollywood florida and race. I got high 14's out of my Mustang with no special work done to it. He got low 16's from the Chevette. Everyone at the track laughed when he pulled up to the line, but that thing could fly!

I am now 30, and have a 1967 Mustang, and let me tell you guys who have never driven a fast car. There is nothing like the feeling of slamming through 5 gears with your head pressed against the back of your seat, seeing your opponent out of the corner of your eye.

Heck just driving down the road at 30mph and dropping it into 2nd gear and putting the pedal down is a rush.
