Hi...

I'm just curious and I can't seem to find the answer to this question.

Do I have to send results when "results.txt" have reached 100k, or can I
wait until it suits me.... Meaning: making fewer, but larger dumps as when I
use Setidriver?

You can wait as long as u want to with the sending of the file. Just make sure that u set auto send in your config.txt to No, that's all! = "Auto-send results ([Y]es, [N]o): N" After that, feel free to do the manualsend.bat anytime you want to :D

Cheers :beer::D

Hey MechEng!

OK...DC has never been this easy!

In your config.txt file:

Auto-send results ([Y]es, [N]o): Y/N.......if set to Y, then the file will be autosend when it reaches 100k, if set to N, the result.txt file will grow until you run the manualsend.bat file.

Thats's it! Happy crunching!!!

Thanks...

Well, actually I had set the Autosend to NO as I use a dial-up connection, but I could not find any information on whether or not it would have any impact on results and/or further calculations.

I did find out that DPAD does not use WU's as other DC projects, but I don't think it is clearly explained anywhere, that the client does not need to send the results at 100k to get on with the project.
Well, maybe it is, but I haven't found it... :)

Does any of you know of a way to measure one's PC with regard to DPAD-performance. Preferrably an easy way... ;)

Hi...

Is this an acceptable/good result from running muonbench: 282,6 kpts/sec ???

You can see my system specs by following the link in my signature: MainRig

[EDIT] It has been running for almost 24h [/EDIT]

MechEng...what version of DPAD are you using?

Older versions's results doesn't count anymore...the one you should use is Muon v433a.

If you are using the this version, let me know and I'll contact Stephen...he always knows whats going on...he'll find you! :D

Hmmm I think it is...... Just checking.... Ok, here it is: The downloaded files name
is "v433a.rar", which I suppose is the correct one then...

Hope we can figure this one out... BTW. was it correct to make a file called "user.txt" with
"[TA]MechEng" in it?

The user.txt file is correct. Without it one would not get proper credit and more importantly the program would not function.

Perhaps it is the .rar file that is corrupted. have you tried downloading the 4.33a.zip file instead and extracting everything to a clean, fresh directory?

I have found out what was wrong !!!!

It was my firewall that was messing it up. (ZoneAlarm) :eek:

I shut it down and then no problem. I found out due to a topic in Anands forums. Thanks to that topic I also managed to find out that I still had the old results, but the file "results.txt" was renamed to something I don't remember anymore.

I should now successfully have send my first results !!! :D

Look for a file that's reeeeallly long (filename) like "ajdsfieuoiwenlskj12432122[MechEng].txt"

That's it. You can (AFTER sending your current results) - rename it to results.txt and do a manual send.
You won't lose a single Muon. :)

I have the same prob with ZoneAlarmPro. I have to shut it down completly in order to send my results. Only when u get that little chechbox ("results have been successfully send") your results were sent.

Congrats Man!!! :beer::D:beer:

If u want to check how many Muon points u get from a results file ... check out this little programme. Just keep in mind that the last digit of your results is the one behind the dot. So 50000 is 5000.0 --- The dot is missing. Besides that, it's really great.
