We're at something of a disadvantage here. Certainly Slipstream did a marvelous job at producing the stats -- but... it's not probably his first priority.

We need our OWN. Obviously the daily stats are terrific - and Johan has done a great job posting them daily here.
How about an hourly update of our own?

Any of you Geeks do this kind of thing? We have access to all the base information anyone else does in the rawstats.txt file.
What we lack is the proper presentation.

eh? What say? I'd be betting that out of over 100 participants now ( ) that we've got at least one or two that could bring this to be. :)

I just found this on the forum of slipstream:

wollte mich auch nochmal melden.
Werde wahrscheinlich auch nicht mehr für Muon rechnen und die Statsseite bald offline nehmen.
Die Entwicklung von Muon entsprach leider nicht meinen Erwartungen.

He says that the development of DPAD didn't go the way he liked it to go and that he quit DPAD and along with that he also shut down his stats page. So I guess we really need to create our own stats page now.

Dayum :(

Has/can anyone ask if he would be willing to provide his php coding and schema for the database so others can work on it (like me)?

I'll try to ask him for that!

Thanks!!

If he's not got rid of the historical data...then that would be nice also!

I just PMed Slipstream about this and also wrote in their forum. As German is my mothertongue it's easier for me than for DanC I guess :D Let's see what SlipStream answers.

Being one of the folks that offered to help out, and seeing that there are others, I submit that if a group of us are going to be doing this it needs to be coordinated so that we're not spinning our wheels and reinventing the wheel and duplicating work over precious vollunteer hours. My stats work can be seen in the link in my sig. If we want to use that as a base, that's fine with me.

Geoff,

I really like how your stats look. You did a great job, really :D

The only possible change I would recommend is labeling the x-axis.

All-in-all, if you could port that to DPAD that would be awesome ;)

First - Let me express the TeAm's appreciation for the volunteers! This is terrific!

What I think we have in mind - is first getting Slipstream's stats working again on our domain. Then - we can begin a tweaking process according to our specific needs. He did such a great job with the original, that certainly it could hold us over until we decide how to proceed, and then begin to do so.

Certainly this would be the time to take a look at possible improvements, while we satisfy our lust for stats in the process. ;)

Where can I find the stats? Is there a delimited file somewhere? I don't know anything about this project, so I would need a primer on what the work units are, how often the stats are updated, how teams are defined, etc, then I would be glad to see if there was an easy port that I could do.
