Installed a furnace for a couple that owns 5 McDonalds. They gave me a stack of 50 bigmac vouchers. I can proudly say I have only eaten one of them and my sister/nephew have eaten the rest.

Saved a few bucks though. How they eat that shit is beyond me.

Thats what I do sometimes. I did the job last summer. it was 2 furnaces 2 a/c's. They had a mansion. Checked my mail over the christmas holidays and these vouchers were in it.

I'm not complaining.

They paid you ~$150 to do real work, and they live in a mansion? I'm pretty sure I'd complain.

Nah, I've worked for a few different people in the restaurant chain business, they're typically pretty generous with vouchers like that. It was awesome when I was younger & loved fast food :thumbsup:

They got two furnaces and two air conditioners (compressors? air handlers? ducting?) installed for the... not retail... but wholesale cost of 50 Big Macs. This is how the wealthy are different from you.

Not sure what you mean. I don't think it's unusual for McDonalds franchise owners to have more than one store. I worked in one as a kid and the guy had three or four if I remember correctly.

It's not unusual, though I'm fairly sure a decent fraction of stores are corporate-owned. Still, creating jobs ain't easy and it's not unheard of for a franchisee to own five to ten locations just to make ends meet, those poor bastards.

I thought they were all owned and operated by one company, didn't realize it was a franchise thing.

Around here they were doing $1 big macs the Monday after the Broncos won, sadly that's over :\

I would take some of those vouchers off your hands, but they probably wouldn't work outside of that one franchise.
