The rain rain rain came down down down
In rushing, rising riv'lets,
'Til the river crept out of it's bed
And crept right into Piglet's!
Poor Piglet, he was frightened,
With quite a rightful fright.

A message he did write.
He placed it in a bottle
And it floated out of sight.

Just like when the tax reform capped deductions for home mortgages, THE REAL ESTATE BUBBLE WILL POP! PEOPLE WILL STOP BUYING HOMES!!!

... Oh wait, everyone shrugged it off and the real-estate market is still hot hot hot.

If you graph home values in SALT-capped real estate markets, you will see that the increase in values since 2012 stopped abruptly after the passage of the tax reform. Just because the bubble didn't pop doesn't mean it didn't have an effect.

Nowdays, it doesn't seem like a good idea to panic unless it drops more than 1,000 over two days. It really feels like some of these "stock market crises" are manufactured to create an easy buying opportunity for the whales out there.

DJI down 850 now.

875 now. @ultimatebob what about 1,000 in one day? Can we panic then? Or do you mean maintaining 1,000+ down over two days, to differentiate a panic for whale-profit?

Honestly I dont know whether to be scared or excited. I can wait it out...the question is when will it come back.
