This isn't pain. We're not even bleeding yet.

I've plenty of dry powder left. Used some to buy Mr. Softie.

I'm still expecting recession next year.

However weeks like this are the reason I daytrade. 🙂

ditto ... but my investing side isnt looking pretty 🙁

My Roth IRA has taken a beating this week 🙁

My employer offers a simple IRA program (I do the Roth outside of the company). They offer a 3% match on the Simple IRA which is handled through Wachovia. Would it be wise to take part in both a Roth IRA and Simple IRA?

I wasn't in the market. I have a pre-funded brokerage account standing by to dive in when it hits bottom, however. 😉

Partisan mud slinging seems to be more important to him than the health of our nation.

I see you're still finding glee in the possibility that others lives could be as miserable and pathetic as yours.

Here's a suggesiton. Get your damn life together. Stop blaming George W Bush or Jesus or your mental/moral shortcomings.

At least the headlines arn't about some celebrity breaking a nail.

It's a good thing that energy costs are one of the largest factors driving the inflation. It's not blanketing across the economy in many different areas.
The threat of higher interest rates is also driving a small dip in the market, nothing major and nothing to be majorly concerned about.

I lost 6k on IPSU, and when I say lost I mean lost. I sold out at 28.xx and bough in at 34.xx so don't feel bad. This is the most money I have ever lost in 1 week.

Hopefully the mastercard IPO next week will bring me back.

man you have ballz to buy a stock that just went up to 34 from 11.

are you getting in at the IPO price or are you going to buy the mstrcrd stock first day of trade?

Market crapped.

I'm down 1.28% today.

Not great, but not nearly as bad as the major indices.

Yesterday when the market tanked, I also did better than all the major indices.

I'm long term though ... I could care less.... this is just a buying opportunity.

I know I did. Over half of my stock is down more than 10pts. Not that it won't level back out, but things were going really well before today and bam.

Just a quick text, you can probably find better elsewhere.

I was up a point for like 2 days. Then the earnings report came out that said profits and margins were up but sales volume was down from last quarter. it went downhill from there. was originally going to hold for the dividend but decided to cut my losses. glad I did, saved myself from losing another point.

You want to know what the real kicker is? I sold out of PEIX at 33.XX to get in on sugar because I was betting the earnings report for IPSU was going to be great. PEIX then went to shoot up to like $43.

I'm getting in opening day, you need the right connections and 100k+ in cash to get in on IPOs.

Burger king IPOs tomorrow ticker BKC. I'm not going to go near that though, because I think BK food is crap.

Buy...buy...buy. It will come back, it always does! 😀

It hasn't gone down that much has it?

I'm thinking about buying some Vanguard Strategic Small Cap Equity, but I'm afraid small-cap stock's recent boom in 2003-4 would have me buying high.

I don't think its gone down that much either, and would hope for it to go further and create more chaos before looking at this as a significant buying opportunity.

Consensus is that the market is oversold due to interest rate inflation concerns.

Now is the time to buy if you want to invest.

Consensus is also that the Street is mid to long term bullish.

As long as you leave the money in and don't look at it for several years, you'll do well.
