The idea isn't to keep them out, its to move things out of vision before they enter the room.
Hahaha, that made me laugh out loud. Thanks.
You think we can't hear the bottles clinking? Or the frantic whispers as you try to hide it? Or the smell of alcohol exuding from your room, clothes and person? Your bloodshot eyes?
The actual bottles are the least of our worries. All that means (you hiding the bottles) is that we get to add a nice little footnote to our reports that says "non-compliant". Most higher ups love that.
I'm glad it made you laugh. In all seriousness though, if it is a monitoring RA, they can't hear anything out in the hall with all the cinderblock walls, that is if you don't want anyone out there to hear it. Also, I think I should mention that the RAs roam in pairs, never alone and that is a safety policy to keep the RAs that would be less likely to report people they knew etc from doing so because they can get in trouble if the RA they are with reports and they don't. If you move things out of direct vision of someone who enters the room a couple steps you shouldn't get in trouble because they don't go through the trouble of doing a real search in every room in the dorms every weekend. They are too lazy for that, they are other college students after all.
We don't usually drink from bottles btw, and bloodshot eyes usually means you've been blazing up as opposed to drinking. At least for me my eyes don't really get bloodshot. They don't usually look that hard to be honest, just for paraphernalia.
