One more thing, can those of you using IE with the issue do this:

Go to IE and hit tools -- > Internet options ---> advanced

Scroll down to "Show Friendly http error messages" and uncheck that so we can try and see whats going on.

Ok, will do.

I've also noticed that this error only happens on my first post of the day or first post in a couple hours, after that first one everything is fine and there are no errors.

I doubt its connection related, it's something else from the amount of people having the same issue. Browser, compression not sure yet and I won't know until more information comes out...

I just loaded up Opera and tried to reply and first it said connection closed by server, and then the 2nd time I tried to post it went through, but it went through and double posted.
So I'm having trouble with IE and Opera.

Just pulling some wild hair outta my arse but has anyone who gets those errors done that IE registry hack to allow more than the default 2 connections for an http session (you know the one I'm talking about...speeds up downloads)?

I have 😛

Been happening to me for a couple weeks off and on. I have to go back to the forums, and find the thread and see if it actually posted. It always does post, but the error comes when I click the reply button.

No idea what it is yet as it has nothing to do with the forums themselves or the servers ( no errors anywhere ). We'lll see where this goes...

I get the same issue repeatedly. And it usually ends up in a double or triple post.

EDIT: I'm a subscriber and this happens if I quick reply or just regular reply.
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)

Yeah, and on top of that I'm double posting all over the place.

I'm also using IE 6 on the subscriber servers and occasionally (maybe 3-4 times a week) my replies get screwed up.

However I have a fix!

My subscription runs out in 9 days 🙁
