not sure of my max.. have done upper 400's for reps (485x5) @ 200 lb body weight..

when do we get to join the double body weight bench club?

I may not be in the squat club yet, but I certainly am in this one! Just barely though. >_< 1RM 365 @ 175 (at least, I am 175 now) about 3 months ago. I'm sure I can do more now. Sadly, I am having grip issues doing reps (315 x 6) and refuse to use anything to "help".

I think 1.5x BW is a more realistic bench goal. =) 2x is insane.

I think that utilizing the Wilkes coefficient to compare lifts or published skill level charts by weight classes is a better goal 🙂 I'm closing in on 5x bodyweight for my total with 6x being my ultimate goal.

I have not maxed out in awhile but I did 535 during a recent workout like 3 weeks ago. I just can't balls to wall anymore squatting and deadlifting at the same time though. I only deadlift like once every 4-6 weeks.

This is me by the way, couple of weeks ago, trying to get my abs back, lol

Little down from my normal hardness and size, the impingement has really slowed me down. I am going to go see the surgeon on Monday. My strength is still there though and most of my motion has come back, but it just nags me. I can't hit like I want to, so after several months I am caving, I am hoping its just the spur needs to be removed. I have a partial rotator cuff tear, but according to the MRI with die, its reallly small and looks be caused by the spur digging into my rotator cuff. Everything else was as the report put it, grossly intact.

Sucks I can throw up 115 incline dumbbells, but cant stand to incline bench with the impingement.

Dam, you're 202 right? That's strong.

You are definitely jacked in the pic. I wouldn't worry so much about abs unless you're trying to make weight for a meet. Those extra lbs will help soften the blow of such big max lifts.

Regarding your MRI and the arthrogram, I had the same thing done last month and had to stop benching for 8 weeks due to some minor pain. I don't have as much impingement but it's minor labrum damage from wear and tear over a life of lifting. Luckily, doc said I can keep going heavy until the pain starts interfering with everyday movements. I've been specifically targeting rotator strengthening exercises on overhead day and it's made a huge difference. External rotation exercises have really alleviated pain in on my labrum via the rotator.

What can the surgeon do, shave off the spur that is causing your impingement?

I am naturally born with hooked ac joints and they are huge, slightly arthritic, even though they don't bother me much and never have. But I don't have proper space so everything is rubbing together. Everything was good except there is a noticeable spur in my acromion space that is sticking into my rotator cuff. The idea is for them to shave the bone down to allow proper room. But that was from the doctor and he based that on the MRI. According to both MRIs with and without die, my labrum and bursa, all of that is fine, actually in very good condition. So i decided to see the surgeon to get his take.

385lb @ 165lb BW, it's been a while since I've tested my 1RM. Was hoping to hit 2.5x BW this year but I haven't been in the gym as much as I'd like so it's doubtful...I'm away from home even more in the 2nd half of the year.

Thick chest!

I've done 200kg @ 92kg. I pulled 190kg @ 91kg the other week as well. My DL is a bit sh!tty due to the way I do them ala Cn style but it's more specific for me.

Koing

405x6 @ 200lbs

although i haven't done deadlifts in a while because i'm having some kind of issue with my left hip right now 🙁 i hope it's nothing serious. i can still squat although i'm not going as heavy as i was before. i also lost some strength when i went on vacation for a week and didn't workout and didn't eat a lot of protein like i do normally.
