<< Guys I dont know if this proves anything, but look at Palpatine's Bio on StarWars.com shows that he is affiliated with Sith. This also proves that Palpatine and the Emperor are the same person... >>

Well, parts of that are blatantly wrong, too. :) Palpatine didn't die on the second Death Star either. His soul was so powerful that it kept killing the physical flesh that held it. His body was continually cloned to keep him alive and his soul embodied. Palpatine didn't officially die until later in the books when Luke and one other person (Lea?) used the force to make him feel a few positive feelings. He lost control of a storm he created using the force, and it enveloped the ship he was on. The ship crashed to the planet below and apparently there wasn't anything left to clone his body with and no flesh or whatever kept safe elsewhere to clone another body off of.

That was in one of the Zahn books. Mara Jade was with Luke,iirc when they took out the cloning facility, could have been Leia too. It's been a few years since I read them. I really liked the Zahn books, didn't bother reading any of the other authors though, heard they sucked.

Yup. He's my fav by far.

Anyone read the book by some stupid lady where Luke gets the force ability to shrink things? The only time he uses it (and it's only in this book that he has it), he uses it to shrink his saber and picks a lock.

From the referenced book - in reference to Palpatine's hiding in plain site...

<< One of his earliest memories was that of being taken to the Jedi Temple. Both he and Sidious had been disguised as tourists. His master's command of the dark side had been sufficient to cloak them from being sense by their enemies, as long as they did not enter the buliding. That had been unlikely anyway-- the Jedi Temple was not open for tourism.They had stood there for the better part of the day, Darth Sidious pointing out to him the various faces of their foes as the latter came and went. It had been thrilling to Maul to realize that he could stand in the presence of the Jedi, could listen to his master whisper to him of their ultimate downfall, without them having any inkling of the fate that ultimately awaited him. >>

<edit>
I'm still looking for the other passage...
