Yer gonna need a RADEON 8500 or a GeForce4-Ti4600 to run Doom3 well plus a fast processor (obviously).

You're sadly mistaken... Game makers would NEVER require a game to be forced to use the 'top lined' equiptment in order to play... Remember, game making is a business just like everything else in this world... They need sales to stay afloat and to strive in the competative market... Why in the world would they require equiptment only a fraction of all PC owners have???
Please dont take this as a flame... Merely a correction
Absolutely not. Something like 800 x 600 might be playable but even then I wouldn't bank on it. This is going to be one demanding game.i've got a gef3 ti 200, do u think i would be able to run it with all the goodies turned on (okay, forget FSAA)
Correct but he's asking for all the goodies enabled, not physically being able to play the game. Remenber, there's always 640 x 480 x 16 (or lower) with all details set to low for those meeting or just above the minimum requirements. You're sadly mistaken... Yes, but we don't know which one. Basically, that's the problem. We don't know if that was a Radeon 8500 or if it was a Radeon 9xxx (R300)..
But logic tells me (and most everyone else) that it was a R300 board that Doom3 was being demonstrated on..
(NOTE: I also answered the original question in this post too..! I'm so good)

i'm waiting for games that are based on it... id's track record for making games that are actually fun to play, has been pretty bad since quake2, and well q3a was just pure garbage. the engine's they make are good, and i'd think thats where they make most of their money
