WHY HASN'T SOMEONE DONE THIS ALREADY?

Well, it just occured to me that we'd need money for the homes, right? So, perhaps we could, like, hold auctions and stuff. See, what we'd do is, if you made a certain amount of money, and had a bunch of nice stuff, then the government could take it and auction it off and use the money to pay for homes for the homeless so the homeless would have homes and thereby not be homeless.

They already do, except they skip the whole middle step where I get the money to buy the electronic stuff, they just give me the receipt instead. They don't lose any money due to resale value that way.
