So you're saying that inner city schools are bastions of learning and should be held up as a shining example of what all schools should be like?

I think you give him far too much credit. "People who listen to Outkast are stupid black kids in city schools who will just grow up to be stupid black adults." That's hardly a thesis statement to an essay on impoverished schools. It's just a stupid joke that blew up in his face.

It's the music industry's biggest award. I would say that anybody who's anybody in the music industry watches the grammy's. Not to mention 26+ million tv viewers. Oh and "Hey Ya!" has been on the billboard top 100 for 19 weeks.

So given the above I'd say if you haven't heard of outkast you probably live under a rock or don't watch tv or don't listen to the radio.
