You have to use itunes to transfer files to ipod. THAT IS THE HASSLE.
What is so wrong with using iTunes?
Its garbage.

It's not the best for listening to music, but I plug my Touch in and Itunes auto opens and syncs exactly what I told it to, without any hassle on my part. How again does it suck? It's much better at syning than that Zune POS, where it decided to change art work for a ton of my GF's songs to seaminly random art that wasn't even close to who the artist actually was.

iTunes also auto updates & syncs all the apps I've bought from the iTunes store, which is nice seeing how I've spent a couple hundred on games and apps.

The hates for iTunes is pretty ammusing, the fact I never have to touch mine and it syncs my Touch perfectly makes it a great program in my eyes. Not sure what else you want though *shrug*

Just wanted to warn you guys. I was going to get an iPod, but got talked into trying out a Sansa e280 instead. What a mistake. I have spent dozens of hours trying to get it to work properly - no banana. I followed all the instructions, updated firm/software, etc. It will show files as being processed in the offficial Rhapsody UI, but when you go to use it, they aren't there! And now my player is somehow swapping and deleting files on its own, and showing crazy unreadable characters. Turns out this is REALLY common. Out of desperation I went to the Rockbox site, and even that is having issues.
Anyway, I really regret not getting an iPod. Before this mess I had an iPod for 4 years - did what it was advertised to do - no hassles.

Dude, Open the player up using windows explorer, and make sure the the folder option is set to show hidden files...then you will see a MUSIC folder.

drag in there...and voila !!!

i love my sansa....but my brother lost it, and i got a itouch, ITUNES IS THE HASSSLE !

Buy a Zune, you're stuck with one choice for software to sync. And the only customization you can do to it is change the wallpaper.

fixed.

Zune software + lack of customization options = fail.
