people...please don't buy imitation rims. i mean pay the extra and get the quality. i know people that have cracked many (i mean many) knock offs! i'm talking like AXIS rims and such. SAVE UP, pay the extra, get the quality, get the multi piece version (not the one piece), and look more pimp! c'mon, would you rather have real racing hart c5's or concept 5's????

you guys (beast) are dumb.
quality parts are cool to have, but on my future car (85-87 Chevette), I dont think it'd be worth it to spend more than $30 a piece on rims

I agree. If you can knock them off, they are of poor craftsmanship.

Also do not buy rimoff knocks. They're bad, too.

well if you go with bigger size, you get better handling. rims from differnt manufacturers have different qualities. for instance, if you have lighter rims, you go faster because you have less rotational weight. it will probably make little difference for day to day but at the track it could be the difference between 1st and 2nd. soem rims are stronger. some are made with the highest standars. for instance the german tuv standard. if you have rims with this standard you know you are getting quality. many things come into play.

just don't but cheap rims cause they can go bad on you!!

well for the knockoff rims, they have no warranty. and also, if they go bad on you while driving you might be dead.

anyways, since knockoffs are knockoffs and the originals have patents, they are made overseas (usually in china) because design patents dont work over there and if they did they dont care.

Beware of cheap rim jobs.

You couldn't be more right. If you're paying her to do it, make sure she does it right.

i have some factory rims off of a 1998 neon R/T, and they weigh about 10lbs a peice, rather than the 25lbs a piece my old ones weighed. What a difference.

Anybody that's doing anything where the rims WILL make a difference probably knows enough to get quality. Anybody that's trying to do those things and doesn't know well enough, shouldn't be out there and deserves it.

theoretically, they should give you better gas mileage. will you notice a difference??? probably not. also, if you're in the market, you have to consider what you want them for. only looks? looks + function + better safety?? oh yeah, ho much you are willing yo spend is also a factor.

tkim... Actually, I drive an Australian car, which looks much better than any import (just my opinion tho). Also I do agree with your comment about quality, hence my bathurst globe rims (same rims they used to use in Bathurst) Btw, my comment had a smily next to it, i'm not sure if you saw that or not :)

i typically only get things for function/confort. I like factory rims, they match the car, but i'm sure they cost #@%^ too much. I've seen too many tasteless rims:p
