Add to that the fact that McNabb missed 6 games in his 4th season.

Nope

Add to the fact that they went 5-1 without him. I guess you missed my post, or you can't come up with some excuse as to why his presence didn't make a difference last year?

I thought Limbaugh lived in the United States.....

He is entitled to his opinion!

Not everybody thinks the same way, might as well get used to it. And I also find it funny how Dusty Bakers comments were ok but Limbaughs aren't. Nice double standard

Rush will not get fired...

He's bringing up the rating 10% overall, 26% in the 18-34 demographic. Now with ALL this press the shows ratings will go through the roof!

Rush is right.

So you're going to hold it against him because his team stepped up and played harder when their MVP-potential quarterback went down with an injury?

Don't you remember how last year everyone was ragging on the Eagles, saying that their whole team was Donovan, and they couldn't win without Donovan because he was personally responsible for such a high percentage of the team's yardage...does that sound like overrated to you?

Dusty said something to the effect that dark skinned players play better in the summer heat than white guys. It's the same old double standand. In Dusty's defense I will say that he know's baseball but that's about it so how can you really hold it against him?

Meh, all those statistics are loaded. How can you compare the QB's w/ stats in different eras, different teams, etc.

I think McNabb is definitely good. PUt in the ranks of Joe Montana, John Elway, Steve Young, Dan Marion, Brett Favre? I think not. But thats all opinion, which is what Limbaugh gave.

i'm not comparing their total careers. i'm only focusing on the first 4 years. i'm just sick of these morons who say he sucks and is overrated because of 2 bad games.

That was the worse I had ever seen a quarterback play since junior high school. I have never seen any of the players mentioned above have that god awful of a game.

and wtf is Dan Marion?

Dark skinned players can play better in warmer climates, which is a biological fact. Ask any scientist. The dark skin provides them with the necessary pigmentation to work more under the suns rays than it does white boys, especially redheaded Irishmen and girls. My niece and nephew get a sun burn after 5 minutes of sun exposure unless they have sun block on.

Yeah it's not PC which means I approve of his statement. I disapprove of Rush's statement, about him only getting press because he is black. How much press did Doug Williams get before he led the Redskins in a romp in the super Bowl, becoming the first black quarterbacked Super Bowl winner?

I agree with Rush when he said that he was overrated. He is overrated because today's quarterbacks suck in comparison to yesteryear's quarterbacks. Marino's offense had to be one dimensional, because they had absolutely no running game nor defense to speak of. Elway was great because give him the ball with Denver down by 5 and one minute to go, and it was safe to say that you would win. Montana was great because he was a prime time player, whenever the game was important, he took control and dominated. Favre, I would just say he was a good quarterback, better than McNabb though. Aikman was overrated as well...I mean good lord he could bring a portable TV and watch other games while he sat in the pocket, he was given so much time...not to mention Jay Novacek, Michael Irvens, a fairly decent running back and a pretty good defense. Cunningham was another good quarterback, when ever he dropped back to pass you were afraid to try and tackle him because he might try and run. I think every game I saw him play in, he rushed for over 100 yards and threw for at least 150-200.

Sorry but you're just not arguing using stats at all, you're just make your judgements based on a few personal observations of a limited scope. I won't even bother arguing with you anymore.

Let's clear a few things up just in case some of idiots are too ignorant

1. Rush is not a racist, never has been - if you ever listened to him you would know that.
2. What Rush said was not racist - he was pointing out an obvious overlooked non reported fact.
3. McNabb is not a great quarterback, his career completion percentage is lower than Brad Johnsons, he is the 28th of 32 ranked QBs in fantasy stats this year, he has never thrown for more the 3,400 yards, just two off the top of my head, Bledsoe, Warner etc have thrown multiple 4,000 yards/season and others have too.
4. The defense has been top 10 the last 3 years the offense has not.
5. The only thing McNabb adds over an avg. QB is a running threat.
6. The Eagles had a very good RB in Duce Staley for the last few years, so no excuses there.
7. I'm a Giants fan and would love to stay McNabb, sucks it, but I can't he is good, but he is not great like people would be lead to believe after watching/reading the media.

Wrong. The only advantage that blacks have is in the sun because their skin won't burn as easily. Otherwise, they're at a disadvantage, since black radiates heat and white reflects it.
The army has done studies that show that white soldiers hold up in hot climates better than black soldiers.
This is just common sense. Dusty Baker wasn't talking about who got sunburn quicker, he was talking about endurance in the heat.
And he was completely wrong. He also said that slaves were brought over because they could work in the heat better....WRONG....they were brought over because they could be bought and put to work for free, and their owners didn't have to do all the manual labor. Any idiot can figure that out.

Rush is right about McNabb.....I've thought he was over rated since he was in college. Rush didn't say McNabb sucked, he said he was a good QB, just not as good as his reputation in the press. He's also right about the sports media being as liberal as the regular news media.....and they absolutely kiss up to black athletes, particularly QB's, not to mention black coaches.
When he said it live, it didn't sound nearly as bad as it looks in print.....neither Tom Jackson, Michael Irvin, Steve Young or Chris Berman thought there was anything wrong with what Rush said, because they knew the context in which he was speaking, which all of the people posting on here obviously do not.

McNabb is highly over rated, hes not even close to being the best black QB in the NFL. Hes gets more media attention than anyother black player, with the exception of Vick and Sapp. And the three of those get more media attention than anyone else in the NFL.

RACIST? how in the WORLD is this RACIST?

Exactly, it's not.

One thing i did hear which i never knew was, when hiring a coach, they MUST interview 1 black possible candidate...

That seems more racist than anything.. Why are they forced to even have to interview a black coach? They wouldn't be forced to interview ANY white coaches if they chose too...
