Donate Blood?

Just gave blood yesterday for the first time. No issues...it's fun to race the guy next to you to see who can fill up their pint the fastest. 🙂
 
Gave blood again today, at a local hotel set up by local fire fighters. Turn out was good, funny thing was, after i gave, they tell you to raise your arm so you stop bleeding, well I didn't, i used up three things of gause, cuz of the bleeding afterwards i was very slightly light headed afterwards, but they had donuts, and pizza there so it was all good hehe Hope you donate.

I've donated 14 times, 15 on July 16th...I figure its the least I can do, since I used up about alot of the hospitals blood on my last visit to the ER.

Me too, 16 times as of 2 nights ago. That's 2 gallons worth. Sometimes if I feel like freaking my friends out, I'll tell them to imagine 2 of those gallon milk jugs filled up with my blood and that's how much I've donated in my lifetime. I don't donate regularly though; I only do it when I remember which is pretty sporadically.

I'm a pro at donating. I have no qualms about needles; the vein in my left arm is easy to find so the nurses love me; never had any bad experiences with light-headedness or blacking out or bleeding. Plus, I've gotten some perks other than the standard juice, cookies and blood donor pins a couple times. Once I got a $5 gift certificate to the building's cafeteria which I never used since I worked next door and my building had a cafeteria too. Another time I got 2 Loews movie passes which was pretty useful and cool.🙂
 
i've given all kinds of blood... ever since i was 17 i gave as often as i could!

i'm 25 now, and had to go 2 years w/o giving (due to tattoos), and i gave last friday at work. feels good to be back! i think i've given like 4 gallons total

I started in the fall of my sophomore year in college. I'm a grad student now and I give every time they have a blood drive on campus, which is about every 2.5 months.
