I don't think a $1500 graphics setup is the same as 480 price wise and ask Castiel, just cause you have the money doesn't mean you want to bother with watercooling.

This is unofficial information from AMD slides? I think its as official as it gets.:thumbsup:

This makes little sense to me. People photoshop and make fake screen caps all the time.

That is why folks want to know the source of the claimed info when it is posted in thread titles.

donanimhaber posting/hosting supposedly legitimate AMD slides is a LOT different from AMD actually posting them on their website or presenting them publicly.

Until AMD actually authenticates the slides hosted by donanimhaber we can only speculate on the ramifications of the slides being true, and the possibilities of them being fake.

Seeing as 2 overclocked cards could pull 900W then there's the rest of the system and you have to leave some headroom for the PSU.

That PSU is rated for Tri-SLI so yes, it should handle it (along with Quad-SLI 590s). It will be my next PSU.

They got up to 1480 watts in quad GTX480 SLI here: http://www.geeks3d.com/20100426/geforce-gtx-480-4-way-sli-tested-with-furmark/

So there are power supplies out there that can handle these 6990's just fine.
