So now the 'conservative' hero has just switched gears in his gun ownership stance. The only two candidates running support 'no fly list' = no gun purchase. The second amendment means shit to these cowards.

Whats the criteria for being put on a 'no fly' list?

How much time and money must you dish out to get off it?

It's clear they are taking away gun ownership via backdoor rape. Fucking assholes!

http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/15/politics/donald-trump-nra-meeting/index.html

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump said Wednesday he will meet with the National Rifle Association to discuss barring individuals on the terror watch list and "no fly" list from legally purchasing guns.

"I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns," the presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted Wednesday.

He'll have to reverse stance again.

The no-fly list is an absolute mess.

Terror watch list I could see, except that allowing govt officials to deny a Constitutional right without Due Process is a bad idea and unlikely to survive a court challenge.

No easy solutions exist, I'm afraid.

Let his supporters never doubt him. Even when he head-fakes hard to the left.

You know, I don't think it's a move to the Left. (At least not to him.)

I'm betting he thinks the people on the terrorist watch list and the No Fly list are all Arab Muslims.

He's literally going to run to the left of Hilary on many issues and possibly pick up the independent vote.

It's a move characterized as of the left by those who decry any would be "gun grabbers". It actually being a full-on move of a fascist is neither here nor there.

Ah, his followers finally get a taste of his ire. No big deal when he's making fun of the disabled and banning religions, but when he starts talking about guns hold the door!

It's unbelievable; for people that do not like Trump consume so much time in this forum addressing him, i think you guys are afraid he wins and thus you loose your establishment rights if you have some.

If it is the no fly list that is fucked up it's the no fly list that needs fixing. Anybody on a legitimate no fly list should not have a gun.

It's estimated that 1 in 100 deserve to be on the list, if you want to contest it, you have to go to the US Senate.

It's fun watching stupid people take a flip flopping fish's word only to watch it flip flop again and again.

It's fun watching lefties get so apoplectic about people *discussing* alternatives. He was meeting with the NRA, he was going to discuss it, he didn't make it part of his platform.

Trump has not switched position on this. This whole thread is just a bunch of people brainwashed by MSM.

In an ABC news interview in Nov 2015, this is what Trump said :

STEPHANOPOULOS: Mr. Trump, yes or no, should someone on the terror watch list be allowed to buy a gun?

TRUMP: If somebody is on a watch list and an enemy of state and we know it's an enemy of state, I would keep them away, absolutely.

“The NRA’s position on this issue has not changed.”

“The NRA believes that terrorists should not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms, period,” he continued. “Anyone on a terror watch list who tries to buy a gun should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and the sale delayed while the investigation is ongoing. If an investigation uncovers evidence of terrorist activity or involvement, the government should be allowed to immediately go to court, block the sale, and arrest the terrorist.”

If you read the two statements above, one from Trump and the other from the NRA, you'll find they're effectively the same thing.

And yet.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3325100/NRA-defends-blocking-bill-stop-terrorists-getting-guns-emerges-TWO-THOUSAND-suspected-extremists-freely-purchased-firearms-U-S.html

And that wouldn't have prevented this incident anyway. He was not under active investigation when he bought and thus not on the list. The FBI had no legal avenue to look into his gun purchases even with his history.

That's because those bills simply block anyone on an arbitrary list from a constitutional right. You missed the important points, even though they were bold and underlined. The NRA and Trump say sure, block the sale, then the government has to prove its case.

Yeah, nothing like a presidential nominee just spit balling broad sweeping policies willy nilly to his audience. Is he the "see what sticks" candidate now?

Now he can run away from any position by just saying, I was just feeling it out guys!

I enjoy LK's continued misuse of words. Nothing like Trump to make dumb people feel brave.
