I think this is of greater concern:

Something almost as bad is all the Trump political appointees/loyalists who are burrowing into agencies and gaining civil service protections. Biden won't be able to get rid of those folks very easily.

Granted, this happens at every administration change, but it is different with Trump. Trump has fired virtually every single competent person who has ever worked in his administration. The people left are the most incompetent asslickers imaginable, so it seems like he is trying to create his own "deep state" system.

So, here's a "fun" thought: what are the chances that Trump will be willing to sign another continuing budget resolution of any sort whatsoever? I know Congress is working on appropriation bills, but refusing to do anything out of pique seems in-character for Trump, does it not? Are we going to have a 6+ week government shutdown on top of everything else?

My guess is 2/3 of the senate would overrule him. If they didn’t it’d be a great way to lose the two Georgia special elections.

On the other end of that stick Dems should have ran a campaign straight up personifying Trump as Adolf.
Why not? Its more accurate than Biden being a socialist.

Serves those Demoncrats right if it ever happens ehh, you Trumpies out there? By chance or design, Trump is behaving like a flaming wrecking ball swinging his way through the inner workings of the gov't tearing things down and mucking things up as much as possible in order to make the transition to the Biden admin. as crippling as it can get. Is this the Repub's retributive new and revised March to the Sea?

Mike Pompeo: "“There will be smooth transition to a second Trump Administration".

I predict the Secret Service will have to drag Trump kicking and screaming out of the White House before it is all over.

Or, alternatively, they'll just sneak in and change the locks while he is out playing golf...
Good analysis! I like this very much...

Sorry, they (republican senators) don't have the backbone, courage, character, or ethics to do anything but what dear leader wishes.

At this point, I think they are more afraid of Trump's followers* than Trump himself.

So Trump has put Rudy Giuliani in charge of lawsuits. I guess Trump already knows he won't win any of them so he puts Rudy out there to keep his base sending in donations. Kind of like putting Helen Keller in charge of audio and video at a concert. So the grift is probably going to continue until his last day of office. Speaking of grifts - How much will Trump continue to rake in forcing Secret Service to pay to use his properties while he golfs the rest of his life. He doesn't deserve to make millions from taxpayers after leaving office.

Will be hard to let the Secret Service into prison when he is convicted of his crimes when he leaves office. His remaining days cannot come fast enough.

I’m trying not to worry yet. Vote counts must be certified by November 20th, IIRC. If Trump doesn’t concede then, and open up all the necessary gov't resources for the transition team - then I’ll I’ll get pissed off. It'll be game over and Republicans in office need to officially admit Biden's win and move on. Moscow Mitch is afraid demoralizing the base for the GA run off, he should be reminded that 'elections have consequences'.

Geez, on my wife's facebook page to watch my nephew's confirmation. Found a thread (?) from a Trumper and saw this post:
Joe Biden must today explain to the American people how he won the election with only 25,900,000 legal votes that had the watermark & radioactive liquid isotope in them..No 50,000,000 of his total were fake ballots printed in the Chinese Consulate in Houston..Remember that aerial footage from a helicopter of two men burning piles of paper in the courtyard? They were trying to destroy all the evidence..They were burning fake mail in ballots..This was a coup not an election..EXPOSE THE CRIME!

LOL!

They are political appointees, can be fired at will. I strongly suspect when the presidency changes parties most if not all new presidents would clean house immediately.

Following the Trump administration and given the penchant Donnie had to appointing totally unqualified sycophants it would border on presidential malpractice for Biden to leave any Trump appointees in place. A temporary vacancy would be preferable to leaving a Trumpie in place to damage the USA from within.

So I guess it's off to Russia for Rudy....
I had thought Rudy WAS in charge all along ????
You mean to tell me that actual "lawyers" were running this all along? Just WOW. I guess you CAN find a sleazy lawyer when you need one.

This whole transition thing is sooooo insane. All of the states have been called, Joe Biden won, and yet thousands still believe that Donald Trump will prevail? And Donald Trump thinks that he will prevail? I seriously think it's now time to impose the provisions of the 25th Amendment.
