Why is Al Sharpton getting involved? I thought Jesse Jackson was the official Emperor of black people.

white guilt=extract consessions
its sharptons job:p and its so annoying now when they are basically grasping at straws and basically going for publicity instead of dealing with real issues.

Why doesn't Sharpton go after all of the black rappers calling men ni&&as and women hos and bitches?

i guess theres no political power going after them. this way they are twisting arms of business leaders for other things and mainly to keep themselves in the public eye so they can continue to pretend they represent all black people.

Hasn't Sharpton said anti-Semitic statements before?

yup, he called new york "Hymietown". basically he should be firing himself. hypocrite.

sharptons been accused of antisemitism as well. its rather ironic since jews were fundamental supporters of the civil rights movement. just look at the history of the naacp

Don't you just love it when they always say "I am not a bad person/racist/homophobic/fill in the blank".

Where is "this city shall be chocolate again" Nagin?

Didn't offend me. If I was one of the people he talked about, it wouldn't bother me much, either.

Imus is on the radio to make outrageous comments that are also funny. What's different about this than other ones he's made?

When you push the envelope like the Imus show does, things like this will happen occasionally.

In the long run, nobody cares.

Hymietown belongs to Jesse Jackson. Al Sharpton is the one to go to if you want a riot started against Korean grocers or some jews killed in a riot.

Doesn't Stern say things that are infinitely more racist than this, and does he not have infintely more listeners?

And would he have apologized....ROFL. Can you even picture that? Imus is such a tool.

Where do black people go to apologize for racially insensitive remarks to whites? Who is the designated spokesman for white folks?

No, Stern does not say racist things, but yes, he is vastly more popular than Imus.

Opie and Anthony base 1/4 of their show on racist humor.

Sadly, if Sharpton and Jackson represent all Black people, then these people are poorly represented. Those two are not helping the image.

I'd like to know just how these two clowns rose to power. I know that JJ rode MLK's coffin into the limelight, but I'm not so sure how Sharpton got so much clout with the black community.

The only way to fight back against the hypocrites like Sharpton and Jackson is to play their own game. Someone should step up and publicize every racist thing that comes out of their mouth and demand an explanation. Of course, because they're black, they have a double standard, and they're allowed to be racist.
Like Jackson calling NYC "Hymie Town"

Larry Elder nailed Sharpton to the wall with this article on exactly what you guys are saying!

Black people apologize for that? HA! News to me.

So when Al Sharpton hears the terms "rough looking nappy headed hos", he thinks of his daughter and other black women? Who's the racist again?
