No you should just enjoy the Hockey Game.

Ya know what I'm getting a chuckle out of? We have so much sh!t, way more serious, going on in the world, but yet, we basically took the week to get all the black and white folks all worked up over this. This is making a mountain out of a mo hair.

Don, Al, Jesse...you guys have changed the month of April forever. The Easter Bunny has no chance!

Doesn't Stern say things that are infinitely more racist than this, and does he not have infintely more listeners?

And would he have apologized....ROFL. Can you even picture that? Imus is such a tool.

No, Stern does not say racist things, but yes, he is vastly more popular than Imus.

Opie and Anthony base 1/4 of their show on racial humor.

Fixed that for you. They use racial humor, same as Stern. There is a difference.

The nappy-headed hos are expected to speak out within an hour on the whole Imus thing.

Oops, I need to go to rehab!

The only way to fight back against the hypocrites like Sharpton and Jackson is to play their own game. Someone should step up and publicize every racist thing that comes out of their mouth and demand an explanation. Of course, because they're black, they have a double standard, and they're allowed to be racist.
Like Jackson calling NYC "Hymie Town"

Larry Elder nailed Sharpton to the wall with this article on exactly what you guys are saying!

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/Larr...26/time_for_reverend_sharptons_apology

Unfortunately Larry Elders and other black leaders that dont agree with Sharpton and Jackson are seen as Uncle Toms and Sellouts.

I'm a black male and quite frankly I could careless what Imus said, didnt offend me at all no worst than what any other rap artist or black comedian have said in the past about their own people.

what do you think what Imus said was okay? you think this is being blow out of proportion?

I don't. Imus should be canned and should never have another radio show. His comments were ugly and racist. How can so many ppl here defend what he said and try to justify his comments? He was wrong and a two week suspension is a slap on the wrist.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Critics of radio host Don Imus aren't swayed by the shock jock's apology or MSNBC and CBS Radio's decisions to suspend him after he referred to a women's college basketball team as "nappy-headed hos."

They want Imus canned, plain and simple -- not only because the remark was deemed racist, but also because it smacked of misogyny.

Imus tried to stem the backlash from his comments by appearing on the Rev. Al. Sharpton's syndicated radio show Monday, where he said there was no excuse for his remark and "I wish I hadn't said it. I'm sorry I said it." (Watch CNN's Jeanne Moos on the Apology Hall of Fame )

Imus made the offensive barb Wednesday, the day after the Rutgers University women lost their national championship bid to the University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers.

Sharpton was not placated by Imus' apology and told CNN's Paula Zahn later Monday that the radio host's two-week suspension was merely "a baby step in the right direction."

"I think to say that his statements were racist, as they've said, then that means they should not allow him to come back," he

seems they want blood. they want him fired.

He is no more wrong then some of the most popular hip-hop and black comedians. I think this is all being blown out of proportion. Where was Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson at when the South Park Naggers episode aired...I didnt hear any public outcry on that.

press conference is on now

Unfortunately, my eyes glazed over after 20 minutes of babbling by the coach.
Anything important she had to say was lost in the length of her speech. 🙁

looks like a huge publicity stunt being pulled on ESPN right now.. (press conference, rutgers team and coach)

That was Imus' arguement yesterday at the Sharpton interview. That position is weak and he looks as if he is grasping at straws. Desperate times call for desperate agruements, I guess. There is no corelation, imho between what a black comic can get away with onstage and what a white man can say on the radio. Black folks can polk fun at their own culture, but whites can't throw around the same epithets. The words take on new (hatefull) meaning when they come out of a white mouth. Call it a double standard, but that is how I see it.

Stick a fork in Imus. He is done and rightfully so.

If Imus gets fired we need to ban all music that contains the word "nappy" in it. Let's ban Bob Marley too because "Natty Dread" is pretty much the same thing.

So black comedians can poke fun at everybody and there not be any fallback...because for years black comedians and music artists have used racially biased words in their joking of other races. Too many double standards in this country espeically when it comes to Black Americans.

I'm sorry but Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson dont represent me nor do I need them to. If Imus had said something offensive in my opinion then I would have spoken out about it but right now this just seems like a bunch of crap being spewed out by 2 race baiters that need to make themselves look important.

So yeah, when Chris Rock calls white people "cracker ass crackers" in his skit, he's poking fun at his own culture?

Double standards FTW!
