Dolby Digital or DTS

Depends.

The vast majority: DTS

Some disks were simply mixed better on the Dolby side though. 🙁

I would use DTS, but my 5.1 home surround sound system only supports dolby digital. It's hooked up to my dvd player by fiber optic.

opps, yeah it only supports dolby digital

I'd like clarification on this as well.

My old but still really good Yamaha receiver doesn't do DTS, only Dolby Digital. 🙁

I'm too cheap to upgrade it to something newer.
