While a ridicolous amount, I hope he destroys the dog's owners. People who own dogs must be accountable for what their dog does.

I agree the owner should be held liable to some degree (I hate how they usually put the dog down, it's not the dog's fault, sometimes instincts kick in, and they don't really realize the gravity of the situation) but I think it needs to be more reasonable. If it was somebody's kid that did something it would be cute, but if it's a dog, all hell breaks loose. It's kind of sad really.

I got bit by my neighbor's dog, was bleeding pretty bad. I never even thought of suing or doing anything hostile. That dog just hates me for some reason, and always barks at me. I tried to let him smell me, but he took a bite instead. :biggrin:

So after reading this article I'd don't feel so bad about the rottweiler I shot a couple of months ago. Last November, I got bit on the leg, it wasn't bad but enough to draw blood. I discussed my issue to the owner and he agreed to keep it up. Obviously this didn't happen as the dog came after me again, I shot the dog at point blank range.
 
if The Rainmaker taught me anything, even if he wins he won't get shit, as that amount will instantly bankrupt anyone and they won't have to pay
