Looks like "the nothing" from The never ending story! O_O

Dogs are evil.

I've been bitten randomly while biking when some crap little dog did a run-by biting & took a chunk out of my leg for no good reason whatsoever.

Eff dogs.

Dogs are not evil, people who don't know how to properly train or don't have the time to train the dog are evil.

I have a dog and she is the best dog ever in my eyes. She listens, she does not bite. When I walk her down the street other dogs will try to get in her face barking like crazy SOB's, and what does she do? Stand there, doesn't bark back, doesn't chase. If she had a dog barking in her face wanting to rip her face off I can tell her to sit and she will.

A properly trained dog is a great thing and can be a wonderful companion. If someone doesn't want to put foward that time and effort, DONT BUY A DOG! Pitbulls etc..... they can be trained to be wonderful dogs also, but it takes a little bit of effort by their owner.

Update: The person's daughter delivered a letter enclosed with a copy of the ER bill of $370 since they did not have health insurance. In the letter they indicate that there might be further medical bills. They indicate if the bill is not paid in full there will be legal action involved.

Anyways, insurance agent recommended me to deal with them and see if the medical bill is paid that they would sign a written document stating that was the end of that. Tried verifying the bill but the hospital accounting wing is closed.

Now this is getting weird...
Tried calling their home phone number and the person is not home. Tried their cell phone number and the person on the other end sounded like an old man but English was not his first language so I basically told him about the letter and the ER bill. He told me several times it was not him (he and his son have the same first name) and he doesn't understand what I am talking about and he never went to the ER or got bit. He says it doesn't involve him and it's probably his son?

Sigh, apparently the son in law works at a law firm so I'm not going to deal with it. He called me saying his father would need further medical treatments and that he wouldn't recommend going the legal route. Screw this, insurance time.

Have you also instructed your parents on proper dog handling/training so this doesn't happen again?

The kind who own them. Some say pitbulls are fine and not aggressive, but only assholes actually have them and assholes tend to make them aggressive!

Only an idiot would lump all owners of a breed into "assholes", we have a pit and it has never and will never roam the streets. She gets walked daily on a leash, the biggest problem I have is owners of other dogs who do not leash their dogs and come running up to mine, and mine like most pit's is dog aggressive. We got her from a neighbors kid who wanted a pit for all the wrong reasons and rescued her from death at the pound basically. I wanted a dog that would protect my wife while I'm at work and she fits the bill nicely..

It sounds like the old guy that got bit doesn't care, but his son is seeing this as a payday.
