You guys all know it. Emo is teh suXor. It's all the same whiny crap, my gf doesn't like me blah blah blah. Yet chicks like that pile of refuse. Why can't everyone appreciate the glory years of 1980-1989. Van Halen, Def Leppord, Aerosmith, Steppenwolf, Journey. F*uck yeah!

way to generalize an entire genre of music based on the most extreme of its members.

NAZIS SUCK. SOME GERMANS WERE NAZIS. GERMANS SUCK.

Go listen to Metallica screaming how "bad" they are and how they can really relate to St. Anger!? ooohh

No, all EMO really does suck. Here, let's try a little activity. To start it out, you name an EMO band that doesn't suck. Ready? Go!

I disowned metallica the day St. Anger came out. They make me sad.

heh, St. Anger was actually an improvement over Load

Eh? In what way? Dirty Window, Invisible Kid, and so many others were horrible.

In what way? In my opinion. 🙂

I didn't say I thought St. Anger was 'good' or anywhere near something like Master of Puppets, but I do think it was an improvement over Load. Load was Metallica's worst album, again, in my opinion.

Emo is a joke...I actually met some Emo ppl this summer and never knew they existed (I thought that Emo vid on the net was fake). My my are they a special breed, now I break everyones balls that is Emo...I luv it.

um, a lot of the greatest music from the 80s would be considered somewhat emo-ish today. I am talking about The Chameleons, The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division..

The zealotry of emo is very ironic. They try to original, but in fact they are just huge tools. I wonder if they realize it, maybe a swift kick to the skull would help them?

because not everyone likes that "big hair" "hair metal" or "arena rock" hard rock shtick and the music that came with it..

problem with emo is that scene kids are taking the music literally

and I'd be hard pressed to define a band 'emo' - it is more of a lifestyle than a music genre

would, say, old Jimmy Eat World be considered emo? I'd say no. Then again they call themselves rock musicians but have created songs about 'emo'tions, hmm?! 😕
