Does your LCD monitor have a dead pixel??

just got my first LCD and god damn it, it has 1 red pixel stuck!! not that noticable.. but its annoying.. and the place I got it from doesnt cover this

is this common? other than that.. the monitor is great.. will test for some ghosting soon .

edit- never mind.. I just tested it with doom3 and because its a dark game.. the red pixel is VERY annoying oh welll.. I'll have to live with it i guess.. hope it goes away hopefully it wont be too noticable with the way it will be used hehe wink wink.. ill update u ppl on it about a month later.

Yeah, it looks like a little peice of dust on the screen. Every once in a while I try to wipe it off, but it always stays.

My 19" has a stuck white pixel just above the black bars in a widescreen movie. Otherwise hardly noticeable.

I have a 2 year old NEC that has one bad pixel that is sometimes there.

Interesting fact, I repair monitors for Acer and if you send in your monitor, and it has 1 dead pixel, we will replace it.

damn it, should have bought acer instead...

by the way, i have four dead pixels on my norwood micro 17" lcd but they are hardly recognizable so therefore it doesn't bother me.

I have one bad subpixel, I think it's red. I only notice if that area of the screen is black.

I have a single red sub-pixel that is stuck, but it is only noticable when the surrounding area is black (or close to black). Not really a bother, since I can't even tell it's there unless I concentrate on it.
