Does your handwriting suffer because you type everything on a keyboard?

My cursive is pretty nice and printing is adequate but I do believe it's not as good as my college years. 🙁

Now that you mention it, my handwriting looks a lot shabbier than it used to. My cursive has always been pretty pathetic though, archaic form of writing though it be.

My hand writing is horrible, I avoid writing stuff by hand because it looks ugly and takes 10 times longer to do.

Yep. My elementary school actually brought in some expert lady to try to help with mine. Basically my brain goes faster than my hand does. They had some fancy term for it. Their only suggestion was to write in cursive.

When I type, my hands pretty much keep up.

I never had good handwriting to begin with... thankfully that stopped mattering after high school.

but it is definitely even worse now.

Yes. I've noticed this recently when writing out my monthly Rent cheque. I'm halfway through writing something and it's like I forget how to do it right in the middle. Letters are missing or illegible and I just look at it shaking my head. Wish I could pay it Online!

My handwriting has always been horrid, but I notice now that I have absolutely no endurance when it comes to writing things by hand. I rarely physically wrote things during college, most things were typed. So now, I go to write a paragraph and I'm cramping up instantly. 😛

I had to write a paragraph in cursive recently and realized I forgot how to do it. I was guessing on and making up several letters (especially capital) and it took forever with tons of erasing. I hate cursive.

Well, my hand writing is actually pretty good. (Legible at least) Interestingly enough, it has progressively gotten better, but took a big turn for the better after my highschool years. I don't know what clicked, but something did to make my hand writing pretty good.

I've seen some handwriting that is just plain unreadable, I could never understand writing in such a fashion that not even you could understand what is written.

Yes, but then my handwriting was terrible to begin with. It got a bit better in college because I was writing quite a bit by hand, but it has gotten pretty bad since then. It's reached the point that sometimes even I can't read my own handwriting.

I don't even know how to handwrite, well I do I just never used it, ever. I printed pretty bad throughout elementary and high school, I couldn't even read my own writing sometimes. The last couple of years my printing is pretty descent and quick/efficient. But to answer your question, yes, typing is the ultimate thing, and my writing blows because of it. I look at a lot of older people who weren't bought up with todays computer use, and they have crazy neat writing, like my mom.

My handwriting isn't very good anymore either. I sometimes forget how to even write cursive letters lol. What little handwriting I do is just jotting down notes. I chicken scratch those in print.

Same here lol. I might be able to bullshit a sentence together. Everytime I sign my name it looks somewhat different also.

it was horrible before i learned to type.
and it still feels inefficient and horrible to write on paper...more so because of how easy typing is

it takes me a couple word before it starts to flow again.

I don't really write anything down anymore other than maybe the occasional server password on a post-it note.
