Get the Intel model without the IPSec encryption onboard. For what you mentioned, you won't need it, although it is nice (read: as good as required) for W2K corporate environments if all traffic between client machines and servers is required to use IPSec.

well what model # for the intel brand do you reccomend then?

and also im looking for the best of the 3 that I listed too

My preferred: Pro100B or 100+
Best of your list: Pro100S

Looks like they've discontinued the 100B and the 100+, in favor of the 100S and 100VE. For the money, go with the 100S, especially if you can get it through this.

cool, i think ill go with the Intel, but i found that NIC for $31, ill check the final prices with shipping and compare...

I have 1 Intel PC and 1 AMD, haha think the intel nic will work with AMD :) hehe

also this intel does does bus mastering?

Yes, the Intel NIC is a PCI bus mastering device. The only nics that I have run into that are not bus mastering devices are cheap no-name brands. Now, all brand name nics are bus mastering as far as I know.
