It's another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Just go ahead and call a spade a spade.

Disclaimer: I actually find thest two phrases offensive and I don't use them in normal conversation.

Reminds me of the politician that wanted to remove Master and Slave from disk drives and replace it with something more "politically correct".

I just a commercial. One of those NBC public service things. It was saying how there are two things: Right and Wrong. So your choice is black and white.

So is this making the assumption that Black(Darkness) would be wrong? If so, does this bother those of you who are African American? Does it bother those of you who think phrases like these should be removed to avoid someone taking it the wrong way?

Either English is not your pimary language or you seriously lack the ability to think.

Or you enjoy posting flamebait.

I love these endlessly amusing and mindless threads, emphasis on mindless.

That was so good I posted twice!

A distinction needs to be made. Often "Black" is used to denote Evil, but in the phrase "Black and White" it is not used that way. We all speak English here(I assume), this is not anything odd and is just one of those English situations where a word has multiple meanings.

That's the dumbest thing I ever heard. The phrase means one side is distinctly opposite of the other. Black and White, Night and Day, Hot and Cold, Michael Jackson and Chuck Norris...all of these could be substituted.

Just means you're a binary-head, & can't think analog.

Probably usually an insult that you're narrow, can't allow for ambiguity, equivocation.

Black and White only refers to how clearly distinguishing two subjects are from each other (hence the contrast of colors)

That phrase does not imply "right and wrong" at all.
