yes, because it makes me happy. gives me some connection with every other Christmas I've ever had.

this year we're having a tacky Christmas. I'm buying a (fake) white christmas tree and blue ornaments. it'll probably end up staying up until July :p

I don't know if it actually makes me happier but it does make my home more bright and cheery and my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves helping with the decorations. My daughter's bubbling excitement about all things Christmas does make me happy.

We have a fake one but it looks pretty good. Its so much easier than dealing with a real tree, but I do miss the smell and the shopping for a tree.

On the other hand, I'm of the opinion that the pagan celebration of the cycle of life is the ONLY religion that makes any sense, and isn't based on an arbitrary book.

Maybe I'll have a small tree this year, but not sure yet.

I totally christmas'd out his computer desk. next step is getting him to come to my parents' Christmas party, if he doesn't go home :D

Seems dumb to me, so I really don't care all that much. Christmas overall, just seems like a lot of tinsel and a lot more waste

What a barbaric custom!

Go out and kill a living thing.

Bring the dead carcass home and prop it up in the corner and hang lights and decorations on it.

When you grow tired of it, throw it out at the curb.

Very bizarre when you acrually think about the whole process.

Then think about the price they want for the things these days.

They keep me chained up in my cube. The only time I ever see any part of the outside is when the outside comes in.

(There's just something cool about having a tree in the house. And I love the smell.)

Artificial trees suck. There's nothing that can take the place of a freshly cut Fir:)

representation from the evergreen tree (in my case fake) of the everlasting salvation of Jesus. the tree doesn't make me happy, it's just a reminder of what I have.
