Does putting a tree covered with lights in your house make you happier?

yes, because it makes me happy. gives me some connection with every other Christmas I've ever had.

this year we're having a tacky Christmas. I'm buying a (fake) white christmas tree and blue ornaments. it'll probably end up staying up until July

I don't know if it actually makes me happier but it does make my home more bright and cheery and my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves helping with the decorations. My daughter's bubbling excitement about all things Christmas does make me happy.

We have a fake one but it looks pretty good. Its so much easier than dealing with a real tree, but I do miss the smell and the shopping for a tree.

my roommate is like that. but I'm forcing Christmas down his throat regardless

I totally christmas'd out his computer desk. next step is getting him to come to my parents' Christmas party, if he doesn't go home

When you grow tired of it, throw it out at the curb.

Very bizarre when you acrually think about the whole process.

Artificial trees suck. There's nothing that can take the place of a freshly cut Fir
