Does PS3 have Anti Aliasing?

I'm sure it's supported. If it's not, then it can be programmed in and done through software. This would be a performance hit compaired to hardware acceleration, but I highly highly doubt its not supported. AA is old tech these days. 🙂

It's a next gen Nvidia chipset, they claim it's much faster than 6800GTs in SLI. Do you think they would leave out FSAA, it's been a feature in Nvidia chips since the GF2.

It's possible we haven't heard anything about it because Sony might not be requiring it's use like MS with the XBOX 360. Either that, or Sony doesn't think it's too big of a deal to tell anyone, and just let them see the results for themselves.

Maybe, but since its a console I'm not really worried.
I am of the opinion that certain things like AA and some other visual features dont matter much when dealing with an interlaced screen.

If somebody knows that PS3 will support 720p or 1080p then I will care.
On a progressive screen its much easier to see those pixels. 🙂

I was about to say that it wouldn't really matter, but I see someone already brought that point to light.
Tas.

Then why wasn't it in the Xbox? It had a geforce3.

The Xbox had the option of using FSAA but developers rarely used it because it took too much resources. That's why they went with the 10mb of embedded DRAM on the 360 GPU. It gives them the ability to do FSAA without much cost.
