I'm not sure what the Newegg's criteria are for a "keeper" review. I've posted both positive and negative reviews--most of the positive ones are there on the site, but the negative ones never made it. They were objectively written and only described my personal experiences with the product.

Same here. I have given several objective reviews. Most never made it and I can't believe for a second it is a coincidence. As another person replied, they can't sell the product if it gets hammered too hard.
I believe there are two factors used in posting reviews:
1. They will post just enough negative reviews to make it look real.
2. Like any other major supplier, they get breaks and incentives from various vendors to push a certain brand or model. The greater the incentive is to push a product, the tighter the filters will be on the reviews of that product.
Just my .02 worth.

In all honesty we used to screen reviews more stringently. Naturally there are concerns of backlash from manufacturers but we changed this policy last year. The order came directly from Newegg's CEO and we have since always posted both negative and positive reviews (as long as it meets the rules). We do not manipulate reviews or have any filters to advance any products. If you have any reviews that dont make it, send it to me in a private message and I will have it re-looked. It is a manual process so there can be human error on our part. I have seen instances where the review is very good but there is one sentance that violates the rules and we are forced to reject it.
If you ask me, negative reviews are healthy, it helps us to weed out the products that dont make the grade.

Newegg delete bad reviews period. How else do you think they are gonna sell items with bad reviews?
Criticism of Newegg.com's service or the service of our operations partners, (FedEx, UPS, Paypal, etc.)

yes, newegg does reject reviews, they even sent a auto response e-mail to me, it seems they have filter for certain words, i think i used "WTF" in a review one time, i got e-mail back saying my review was rejected and how they screen reviews for quality.
