Does Michael Moore have a creditability left?

His utter lack for the truth is overshadowed by his own personal political agenda in the Columbine movie that even the mainstream media was quick to point out it was more fiction than fact. He has made very clear he is an opponent to the Bush administration and gun owners in general. So I was wondering about a couple points that maybe the good folks at ATOT can help clear up for me.

How does Michael Moore expect anybody to take his new film, Fahrenheit 911, seriously when he lost all of his creditability with Bowling for Columbine?

How can he even call either of these movies a ?documentary? when they are full of lies and half-truths?

Reference Link for Bowling for Columbine

From what I've read, Moore is setting up a 24-7 fact-check office to refute any claims that the film contains lies..so there you go.

On crack.

Problem is "the sheep" believe its truth he is spoutting.
The funny thing is I agree with him on some (many?) topics... however, I loathe the tactics he uses to win supporters. His lies are no worse than any lies the gov't spits out.

Creditability, I don't know.

But frankly he doesn't need it. There are enough people out there, that tend to agree with what Moore does and will see his movies
no matter how much is based on fact or fiction. For his latest movie the turn out was pretty high among Hollywood's more vocal liberals.

well.... Bush was on vacation during some pretty troubled times. Reminds me of Putin when their nuclear sub went down...

So once you've compromised your credibility, you can no longer be trusted? OK, let me eliminate . . .

100% of politicians 😛

Who can I trust? Certainly not someone who has a right-wing agenda.

I will admit, I agreed with him on many points in Bowling, and I am a gun advocate. But after I read that Hardylaw page, about how he cut up the footage and lied through the whole thing, I have no trust in him. I will watch the movie, but just so I can rip it apart.

Misleading. "Vacation" for the president is anything but. His lines of communication and ability to do his job remain fully intact. There is nothing he can do in the White House that he cannot do at his Texas house. And if you've ever read any biography from any president, they work full time on their vacations.

And this is exactly what he wants. You are going to go see it because you want to prove him wrong. See it and agree with, or see it and disagree with it, he wins both ways.

to put it mildly... he would've been smarter to keep his political opinions to himself and just let his talent work. I really couldn't care less about someone's opinion on politics. How does his opinion on Bush really affect any of us ? It doesn't. He's retarded, IMO.

As for Columbine / guns... I didn't see it to know how to comment...

Problem is "the sheep" believe its lies he is spoutting without seeing it.

I watched Columbine, and I didn't see it as an anti-gun movie, it's anti-socieity. I love guns and that movie makes you think about why we're the way we are.

You have to see it before you judge. His book "stupid white man" sucks so bad, I couldn't even finish it.

I'll watch 911 before I decide.

Well yeah... he is a Troll... who just wants to make controversy. Hmmm... maybe I will just download the screener and screw him both ways. 😀

Bingo. Just save your money. Why give it to such a person?

Misleading again. I don't believe that for one second. That's like saying if I answer a call or do some remote work from home while on vacation, then I am actually working. Should I tell my employer to give me back my PTO time because I really never took a "vacation?"

I think not. Of COURSE he has to do some work while on vacation. He's the President of the United States. That doesn't take away the fact that he was on vacation.

If I am ever so curious to see a movie, but I do not want the makers to get any of my money I just buy the DVD used.

I say that about my job too. I can fix pretty much any server issue outside of a massive network / power failure from my house. My boss still makes me come in though... go figure, right?

You guys are a sad bunch. He has every right to make movies how he sees fit because he's the director. He could really care less if people think he has little credibility because that's not how he gauges the success of his docs; he creates them to outrage and envoke.

Bottom line: this movie will make huge amounts of money. There is already a clamoring for this film right after Cannes, and word of mouth will do the rest.
