Or is it one of these depends on the person things? I just got my G9x and ive been messing around with it, its 100x better than the last laser mouse i tried, POS micorsoft habu which razer still sell under a different name i gather, awful lift off distance, bad bad bad mouse.
Anyways the lift off distance on this G9x is excellent, just like my old MX518, its comfy enough to use, the buttons are in a much better position for me as i used to the the forward/backward buttons as grenade/melee but on the mx518 the forward button is a bit too far forward to be all that useful so i never really threw many grenades.
I cant decide if i like it or not though. I think its just all the settings i need to get used to, theres windows own mouse settings, the logitech setpoint software (which is best between those? i have no idea) and then theres always an in game setting too... im used to just plugging the mouse in and whacking the windows sensitivity up to max then enabling pointer precision. Ive tried it in BC2 and im still able to shoot chopper out of the sky and generally kill people but if i miss i keep thinking "damnit i mightve hit him if i had the other mouse" :|Guess i need more time to find the sweet spot with this G9x and get out of the mentality of its the mouses fault i missed lol.
