Basically, there will be an year end Xmas party at my workplace.

I don't have a girlfriend (never had one) and i don't know if i can find a date on time since alot of people haven't finished their final exams yet.

For those of u corporate people, have u seen people attend such functions alone? does it look weird?

i dont think alcohol will be served but whatever.

there are a few girls i want to bring to the function but i either don't know them well or they have bf, lol i don't wanna get beaten up lol.

I am not afraid to go alone, but i dunno if it'll look weird.

Well, just remember

Just because there is a golie, doesn't mean you can't score.

nah..even if i score in those goals, someone else can easily score again hehe

It's OK to go alone. In the company that I was with, only the employee was invited for many years to the Holiday party. Finally, spouses were invited to attend. By that time, my wife had pretty much sworn off such parties with the company because she was never invited and didn't want to attend that one either. If your company has a tradition of inviting spouses, families or significant others, you may want to work on a date for such future events, though.

It's ok to go alone. But you could ask how many people usually bring someone, just to get an idea.
Ha, where I used to work, this nerdy guy brought a date who was such a knockout that everyone thought she was a hooker.

the party is in mid december..

i dunno if i can work it out or not since i don't know too many girls well in the school

i have a few guy friend who are exceptionally talented in computer engineering and programming. Maybe a good networking opportunity for them..dunno

i'm going alone to mine since my bf has to work that night.

it sucks. i have no idea what to do on a yacht for four hours and i don't intend on getting drunk.
